Description
る三日月状の溝内にある三日月状の突起といった継手セグメントの相対回動、あるいは特許文献2で開示される取り付けフランジの偏り開口部の利用を行う他の手段もある。
(a)互いに終端どうし取り付けられた一対の継手セグメントを有する配管継手を準備し、継手セグメントが、おのおの配管の外面と接続するように適応されたアーチ状面を有し、継手セグメントが、おのおのアーチ状面間に配置された凹面を有してセグメント周りで周方向に延在し、凹面が、封止部材を受け入れるように適応され、凹面が、配管要素に対して実質的に垂直になるように向けられた軸に対して角度をなして設けられるステップと、
(b)セグメント間の配管要素の終端部分の位置決めを行うステップと、
(c)継手セグメントを引っ張って配管要素の外面と嵌合させるステップと、
(d)継手セグメントを相対的に互いに軸を中心に反対方向に回転させることで、空洞を配管要素に対して実質的に垂直に向けるステップと、
を含む。
壁64とで規定される。角度をなす面66および68は、継手セグメントの各終端に配置される。面66および68は、逆の勾配を有し、他のセグメント上の同様の面と対向して嵌合すると、継手によって連結されている配管要素の縦軸に対して実質的に垂直な軸70周りで互いに相対的に反対方向で回転させる。接続部材72および74は、継手セグメント52の反対側の終端に配置される。この例において、接続部材は、配管要素にわたって2つの継手セグメントを接続するためのボルトおよびナットといった締め付け具を受け入れるように適応される開口部76を有するラグを備える。
動きが比較的限定されていることで、回転軸からさらに離れていて大きな距離を移動する終端部分よりも封止部材へのねじれ効果が少なくなる傾向がある。
Claims (8)
- 互いに向かい合って連結可能な一対の管継手セグメントであって、各管継手セグメントは封止部材及び同封止部材に係合する一対の配管要素に跨って配置され、両配管要素をこれら配管要素の対向する終端どうしにおいて互いに固定し、さらに管継手セグメントが、
前記配管要素の外面に係合する一対のアーチ状面と、
前記アーチ状面の両端において夫々突出し、且つ傾斜面を有する一対の接続部材であって、管継手セグメントが他の管継手セグメントと向かい合って配置された状態において両管継手セグメントの対向する傾斜面は互いに同一の方向に傾斜し、両管継手セグメントを配管要素の長手軸と直交する軸を中心に相対回動させつつ互いに引き寄せるため締め具にて締め付けられる接続部材と、
前記アーチ状面間に設けられ、前記管継手セグメントの内周面に沿って延び、内部に封止部材を受容する空洞であって、配管要素の長手軸と直交する軸を基準に、管継手セグメントが他の継手セグメントに引き寄せられたときに回動する角度にわたる配向角をもって管継手セグメントの回動方向とは反対方向に配向され、封止部材が内部において捩じられることを回避すべく管継手セグメントの回動を相殺する空洞とを備えることを特徴とする管継手セグメント。 - 前記空洞が4°以下の配向角をもって配向されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の管継手セグメント。
- 前記空洞が、1/4°と4°との間の配向角をもって配向されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の管継手セグメント。
- 前記アーチ状面が管継手セグメントから径方向内側に向けて突出していることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の管継手セグメント。
- 互いに向かい合って連結可能な一対の管継手セグメントであって、各管継手セグメントは封止部材及び同封止部材に係合する一対の配管要素に跨って配置され、両配管要素をこれら配管要素の対向する終端どうしにおいて互いに固定し、さらに管継手セグメントが、
前記配管要素の外面に連結される一対のアーチ状面と、
前記アーチ状面の両端において夫々突出し、且つ傾斜面を有する一対の接続部材であって、管継手セグメントが他の管継手セグメントと向かい合って配置された状態において両管継手セグメントの対向する傾斜面は互いに同一の方向に傾斜し、両管継手セグメントを配管要素の長手軸と直交する軸を中心に相対回動させつつ互いに引き寄せるため締め具にて締め付けられる接続部材と、
前記アーチ状面間に設けられ、前記管継手セグメントの内周面に沿って延びる空洞であって、前記空洞が延びる範囲の内周面は両終端部分及び両終端部分間に配置される中間部分に分割され、各終端部分は配管要素の長手軸と直交する軸を基準に、管継手セグメントが他の継手セグメントに引き寄せられたときに回動する角度にわたる配向角をもって管継手セグメントの回動方向とは反対方向に配向され、封止部材が内部において捩じられることを回避すべく管継手セグメントの回動を相殺する空洞とを備えることを特徴とする管継手セグメント。 - 両終端部分はアーチ状面の曲率の中心に対してそれぞれ45°をなし、中間部分はアーチ状面の曲率の中心に対して90°をなすように内周面が分割されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の管継手セグメント。
- 前記内周面の各終端部分が6°以下の配向角をもって配向されていることを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載の管継手セグメント。
- 前記内周面が、1/4°と6°との間の配向角をもって配向されていることを特徴とする請求項5乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の管継手セグメント。
