Claims (6)
- 空間光変調器と複数の矩形の位相セルを備えた位相マスクとを用いて、ホログラフィック記憶媒体から読み取り、かつ/またはホログラフィック記憶媒体に書き込むための装置であって、
隣接する前記矩形の位相セル間の境界が前記空間光変調器の隣接する画素間の境界と一致するように、各前記矩形の位相セルが前記空間光変調器のn×m 画素(ピクセル)に関連付けられ、nとmは整数であり、各前記矩形の位相セルはサブセルスケール上で2値あるいは多値レベルの位相バリエーションを有し、
前記サブセルスケール位相バリエーションが、円形、環状、あるいは多角形状のパターンの1つ、あるいはこれらのパターンの組み合わせの1つであり、かつ
本質的に前記位相セルの個数の半分が同一の第1のサブセル位相バリエーションを有し、その残りの位相セルが同一の第2のサブセル位相バリエーションを有していて、それは前記第1のサブセル位相バリエーションを反転したものであることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記位相マスクが、変動する表面高さ、もしくは変動する屈折率、または切替え可能な位相分布もしくは切替え可能な位相シフトを有する透明な光学要素であり、あるいは、前記位相マスクが、変動する表面高さを有する反射光学要素であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記位相マスクが、オブジェクトビームの光路内に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記位相マスクが、参照ビームの光路内配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記位相マスクが、前記空間光変調器の一体部分であることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の装置。
- ホログラフィック記憶媒体に書き込むための方法であって、
オブジェクトビームの位相分布を、複数の矩形の位相セルを用いて修正するステップであって、隣接する前記矩形の位相セル間の境界が前記空間光変調器の隣接する画素間の境界と一致するように、前記オブジェクトビームに対する各前記矩形の位相セルが前記空間光変調器のn×m 画素(ピクセル)に関連付けられ、nとmは整数である、修正するステップと、
前記オブジェクトビームの位相分布を、前記矩形の位相セルの2値あるいは多値レベルのサブセルスケールの位相バリエーションを用いてさらに修正するステップとを有し、
前記サブセルスケール位相バリエーションが、円形、環状、あるいは多角形状のパターンの1つ、あるいはこれらのパターンの組み合わせの1つであり、かつ
本質的に前記位相セルの個数の半分が同一の第1のサブセル位相バリエーションを有し、その残りの位相セルが同一の第2のサブセル位相バリエーションを有していて、それは前記第1のサブセル位相バリエーションを反転したものであることを特徴とする方法。
