Description
【0001】

The invention as claimed in claim 1, comprising an integrated parking brake function and an installed driver assistance device for automatically realizing at least one brake specific driver assistance function. The present invention relates to an automobile brake device. The invention further relates to a method for controlling such a braking device.
[0002]
From German Federal Republic of Patent No. 3,909,907, an automobile brake device having a parking brake is known. First, the parking brake includes a parking lever or a brake lever that can be consciously operated by the driver. This lever can act on the brake cable for loosening and tightening the wheel brake, irrespective of the drive. The parking brake further includes a control device. The control device is formed as an electronic control device, the input side of which at least one rotational speed sensor for detecting the wheel speed, a rotational direction sensor for detecting the rotational direction of the wheel, and a selected gear of the transmission. A shift lever position sensor for detecting a shift lever position representing a stage is connected. Thus, depending on the sensor data evaluated by the electronic control device, known parking brakes can be operated automatically without driver action, i.e. tightened or loosened. This is done as soon as the vehicle is in a parking position or travel position where it is necessary to tighten or loosen the parking brake.
[0003]
The disadvantage of this known structure of the parking brake is that the driver's demands are insufficiently realized depending on the driving situation. This is because automatic braking intervention takes place only when the vehicle is stopped or at a very low speed. Furthermore, the parking brake responds only when the driver is manually operated in a driving mode in which the driving condition parameters do not significantly affect the actual implementation of braking.
[0004]
Similarly, it is known from European Patent Application No. 0825081 to realize an automatic start traction control function using a parking brake device operated by an independent force. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate and further process a large number of input data representing the driving state of the vehicle in the control device so as to cancel the criterion for the automatic start traction control function. In parallel, an appropriate input signal representing the driver's demand for parking brake operation is supplied to the control unit. This requires a very complex overall structure of the control unit and a large amount of data processing.
[0005]
Starting from this, the task of the present invention has an integrated electromechanical parking brake function and a brake-specific automatic driving assist function that adjusts various braking requirements and implements it depending on the driving situation To provide a braking device.
[0006]
This problem is solved by a brake device having the features of claim 1. Such a brake device includes an electromechanical parking brake device (EPB = electric parking brake) having an operation element for detecting a driver's brake operation request. The brake device further comprises an electronic driver assist device for automatically realizing at least one driver assist function specific to the brake (eg start traction control, hill holder, traffic signal stop, parking assist, etc.). Yes. This driver assist function automatically acts on the brake device like an active parking brake (APB). A brake function is correspondingly realized in the wheel brake by means of an electronically controllable actuator device for operating at least one wheel brake. An electronic controller for converting the input signal into an output signal for controlling the actuator device adjusts the tightening or loosening of the wheel brake. In this case, the input signal represents the driving state of the automobile or the state of the operating device of the automobile. Thereby, the actual vehicle dynamics data and the operation data determined by the state of the operating device (accelerator lever or pedal, brake lever or pedal, parking brake lever or pedal, clutch lever or pedal, transmission selection lever or pedal, etc.) Are supplied to the control device and processed by the control device. The unique control device has a modular structure. In this case, independent software modules are generated that can be developed separately for each purpose. At that time, the first software module (EPB module) serves to convert the input signal into a signal for realizing a parking brake function caused by the driver. Another second module (APB module) generates a signal for realizing an automatic driver assist function from the input signal. This driver assist function is implemented in the brake device with its unique boundary conditions in the driver assist device. The modular structure of the software package in the control device improves the data flow and is particularly rapid. This data flow increases the performance of the controller. Furthermore, the modular software structure allows for the formation of individual modules relevant to the application that can be easily integrated into the control unit. Furthermore, additional driver assistance functions can be easily inserted into the overall system by means of supplementary software modules. In this way, a brake device already provided with an electric parking brake device can supplement an additional driver assist function like an active parking brake.
[0007]
A first module for processing input data for substantially detecting a driver's brake operation request; and a second module for automatically processing data for executing a driver-specific driver assist function. Due to the structure of the control device provided, in an advantageous embodiment an adjustment module is provided. In this adjustment module, the signal output from the charge module is processed into the resulting signal. This signal is suitable for controlling an actuator device connected to the wheel brake. At this time, the adjustment module has a problem of generating an output signal from signals input from both software modules connected in front.
[0008]
Suitable methods for the control of the brake device are set forth in the dependent claims. In general, the resulting output signal is then generated from the input signal in the controller. This output signal is the final operating force value F res to be achieved for the actuator device in the subsequent arrangement. Instantaneous target value and force change used for that purpose
[Outside 13]
Indicates the instantaneous force actual value differential value. This output signal
[Outside 14]
The actuator device can be controlled in relation to the application and depending on the driving situation. On the one hand, suitable data (engine torque, vehicle speed, ignition device state, etc.) relating to the driving state of the vehicle are detected as input signals to the control device, and on the other hand, state data of the operating device that can be operated by the driver is detected. . Via this operating device, the driver influences the driving state of the vehicle (accelerator pedal, brake pedal, clutch pedal, parking brake switch / parking brake lever / parking brake dull, ignition device, installed gear stage, etc.) be able to. This input signal detected by the control device is supplied to both software modules (EPB module / APB module) and processed by this module. At that time, the first EPB module includes an operation concept for operating the parking brake depending on the driving situation, and considers the driver's brake operation request in addition to the data relating to the driving state of the vehicle. Then, in the EPB module, the signal
[Outside 15]
Is generated. This signal basically corresponds to the command of the actuator device.
[0012]
In parallel, the input signal received by the control device is supplied to the APB module. This APB module, like active parking brakes, can implement additional automatic driver assistance systems such as start traction control, hill holders, vehicle maneuvering assistance / parking assistance, etc. By the APB module, similar to the first module, an appropriate request signal
[Outside 16]
Is generated. Data output from the EPB module and the APB module is supplied to the adjustment module. The adjustment module compares the data with each other and evaluates them. At that time, the required value [0014]
[Outside 17]
Output signal generated depending on
[Outside 18]
Is generated by the adjustment module. This output signal is useful for controlling subsequent actuator devices. In doing so, the adjustment unit as a whole has to satisfy the setting of giving priority to the driver's brake operation requirements and achieving a force final value with dynamics that depend on the driving conditions.
[0016]
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the figure. Next, this embodiment will be described in detail.
[0017]
FIG. 1 schematically shows the structure of an electronic control device 1 provided in a brake device of this kind. Generally, the brake device includes an electromechanical parking brake. This parking brake can detect a driver's brake operation request by an operation element and supply corresponding operation data to the control device 1. The braking device further comprises an electronic driver assist device for automatically executing at least one brake-specific driver assist function (start traction control, hill holder, Parking assistance, etc.). In this case, the electronic control device is based on input data relating to the driving state of the vehicle and data on the operation device operated by the driver (accelerator pedal, brake pedal, clutch pedal, parking brake switch / parking brake lever / parking brake). Pedals, gears in, etc.) and are provided for generating corresponding output signals. This output signal serves to control subsequent actuators. An actuator device (not shown) is a part of the brake device, and is preferably formed to be electromechanically operable. Such actuator devices can be formed quite differently. An advantageous formation of such an actuator device is, for example, a central actuator that can act on a plurality of wheel brakes from the center, or a distributed actuator that acts on each individual wheel brake. The distributed actuators can preferably be integrated in each wheel brake.
[0018]
First, the electronic control device 1 includes a signal processing unit 2. The signal processing unit detects input data relating to the driving state of the vehicle and input data relating to the operating device representing the driver's request, and processes the input data for other data processing in the control device. Therefore, the signal processor 2 detects the current driving state and the influence on the driving state desired by the driver. Data indicating this state is supplied to the software module of the subsequent arrangement via the

The EPB module is primarily responsible for taking into account and performing electromechanical parking braking caused by the driver via the operating element.

When the electromechanical parking brake device is tightened by the driver assist system (such as a hill holder) when the vehicle is stopped and the service brake device is operated according to another example, when the driver further operates the service brake device, By operating the operating element for the parking brake device in the “relaxing” direction, the hill holder for this case can be prevented from acting. If the driver wishes to start traction control when further operating the service brake device, the driver operates the electromechanical parking brake again by newly operating the operating element in the "tightening" direction, and the driver Reactivate the assist system. Thereby, the operation of the vehicle by the driver always has a higher priority than the demand of the comfort-oriented

By such a formation of the control device and by associated methods for controlling the brake device, the control device 1 can be configured modularly by its software components. This makes it possible to design according to the purpose of the individual software modules, which need only be implemented in the control device 1 in terms of their interaction. Furthermore, the already known existing
