Claims (3)
- 半導体膜が形成された基板を複数枚製造する上流工程と、
前記上流工程で製造された半導体膜付き第1の基板を用いて第1の薄膜トランジスタを形成する第1の工程と、
前記第1の薄膜トランジスタと電気的に接続する第1の画素電極を形成する第2の工程と、
前記第1の薄膜トランジスタ及び前記第1の画素電極上の全面を覆うスペーサ形成層を形成する第3の工程と、
前記スペーサ形成層を加工してスペーサを形成する第4の工程と、
前記第1の基板と、対向電極が形成された第2の基板とを前記スペーサによって一定の間隔をもって固定する第5の工程と、
前記スペーサによって形成される空隙に液晶を注入する第6の工程と、を有する第1の下流工程とを有し、
前記上流工程と前記第1の下流工程とにより液晶表示装置を製造し、
前記第3の工程の後、工程を中断して、液晶表示装置の仕掛品を在庫しておくことを特徴とする表示装置の生産方法。 - 半導体膜が形成された基板を複数枚製造する上流工程と、
前記上流工程で製造された半導体膜付き第1の基板を用いて第1の薄膜トランジスタを形成する第1の工程と、
前記第1の薄膜トランジスタと電気的に接続する第1の画素電極を形成する第2の工程と、
前記第1の薄膜トランジスタ及び前記第1の画素電極上の全面を覆う第1のスペーサ形成層を形成する第3の工程と、
前記第1のスペーサ形成層を加工して第1のスペーサを形成する第4の工程と、
前記第1の基板と、対向電極が形成された第2の基板とを前記第1のスペーサによって一定の間隔をもって固定する第5の工程と、
前記第1のスペーサによって形成される空隙に液晶を注入する第6の工程と、を有する第1の下流工程と、
前記上流工程で製造された半導体膜付き第3の基板を用いて第2の薄膜トランジスタを形成する第7の工程と、
前記第2の薄膜トランジスタと電気的に接続する第2の画素電極を形成する第8の工程と、
前記第2の薄膜トランジスタ及び前記第2の画素電極上の全面を覆う第2のスペーサ形成層を形成する第9の工程と、
前記第2のスペーサ形成層を加工して、前記第2の画素電極が周辺端部を除いて露出するように第2のスペーサを形成する第10の工程と、
露出した前記第2の画素電極上にEL層を形成する第11の工程と、
前記EL層上に共通電極を形成する第12の工程と、を有する第2の下流工程と、を有し、
前記上流工程と前記第1の下流工程とにより液晶表示装置を製造し、
前記上流工程と前記第2の下流工程によりEL表示装置を製造し、
前記第3の工程の後、工程を中断して、液晶表示装置の仕掛品を在庫しておき、
前記第9の工程の後、工程を中断して、EL表示装置の仕掛品を在庫しておくことを特徴とする表示装置の生産方法。 - 請求項2において、
前記第1及び前記第2の下流工程のうち、前記第1の工程から前記第3の工程までと、前記第7の工程から前記第9の工程までとを、それぞれ、前記液晶表示装置の製造と前記EL表示装置の製造との間で共通工程として行うことを特徴とする表示装置の生産方法。
