Claims (5)
- 一対の基板と、
前記一対の基板間に挟持されたスメクチック液晶と、
前記スメクチック液晶を一対の基板間に注入するための注入孔と、
前記一対の基板間に、前記スメクチック液晶の注入方向に対して垂直に配置された複数の走査電極と、
前記複数の走査電極上に配置された配向膜と、
前記複数の走査電極へ電圧を印加する走査順序を、前記注入孔側から順番に奥側に向かって行う電圧印加手段と、
を有することを特徴とする液晶素子。 - 前記配向膜が斜方蒸着によるSiOx膜である、請求項1に記載の液晶素子。
- 前記電圧印加手段は、全ての前記複数の走査電極を注入孔側より奥側へ1回走査した後に、前記複数の走査電極への電圧印加を停止する、請求項1に記載の液晶素子。
- 前記スメクチック液晶は、強誘電性液晶又は反誘電性液晶である、請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の液晶素子。
- 前記複数の走査電極に対して垂直に配置された複数の信号電極を更に有する、請求項1〜4の何れか一項に記載の液晶素子。
