Description
AVDPはホストが最初に読み出すポイントであり、ここから光ディスク上の全てのファイルに辿り着けるようになっている。AVDPは、論理ブロック番号(LBN)256のセクタ、最後のセクタ(Z)、Z−256のセクタのうち、2箇所以上に記録されている。また、最新のUDFでは上記で示した論理上書き技術を用いて追記型光ディスクでも書き換え型光ディスク同様のファイルシステム構成を持たせることを可能とする記録技術に関する記載がある。本技術を使用することで記録途中の追記型光ディスクにおいても、AVDPを論理ブロック番号(LBN)256のセクタ、最後のセクタ(Z)、Z−256のセクタに配置することが可能となる。また最新のUDFではメタデータと呼ばれる光ディスク上に記録されるファイルの管理情報やディレクトリに関する情報をメタデータファイルとして1つのファイルとして管理し、ファイルシステムで特に重要であるメタデータのロバストネスの観点から光ディスク上に纏めて配置することを推奨している。このUDFに関する詳細は、非特許文献3に記載されている。
つまり追記型光ディスクにおいて欠陥管理を拡張することで論理上書きは容易に実現される。ただしこの場合においてもスペアエリアは欠陥管理における交替先として用いられるため必要となる。
Claims (2)
- リードイン、ユーザエリア、リードアウトを有し、前記リードインに記録される欠陥管理情報を用いて論理上書き処理が行われる追記型光ディスクの記録方法において、
前記ユーザエリアが複数のRゾーンに分割され、記録可能領域を有する少なくとも2つ以上のRゾーンが存在し、
前記ユーザエリア内の任意の領域に対する論理上書き処理の交替先を決定する際に、前記任意の領域を含む第1Rゾーンが記録可能領域を有するかの判別をし、
記録可能領域を有する場合には当該第1Rゾーンを前記交替先として決定し、
前記第1Rゾーンが記録可能領域を有しない場合には、前記第1Rゾーンに隣接する第2Rゾーンを除き、前記任意の領域よりもリードアウト側に配置される最も近い位置に存在する未記録領域を有する第3Rゾーンを交替先として決定し、
前記任意の領域よりもリードアウト側に配置される最も近い位置に存在する未記録領域を有する第3Rゾーンが存在しない場合は、残りのRゾーンの中で最もリードアウト側に配置される未記録領域を有するRゾーンを交替先として決定
することを特徴とする記録方法。 - リードイン、ユーザエリア、リードアウトを有し、該リードインに記録される欠陥管理情報を用いて論理上書き処理を行なう追記型光ディスクの記録装置において、
該ユーザエリアが複数のRゾーンに分割され、少なくても2つ以上の記録可能領域を持つRゾーンが存在するとき、記録済の任意の領域への記録処理受付時に、該領域を先頭とした記録受付可能領域全体の記録位置を
1.該領域を含む同一のRゾーン、
2.1に該当するRゾーンが記録可能領域を持たない場合には該Rゾーンのリードアウト側に隣接するRゾーンを除き、該領域よりもリードアウト側に配置される最寄りの未記録領域を有するRゾーン、
3.1,2に該当するRゾーンが全て記録可能領域を持たない、又は1,2に該当するRゾーンが存在しない場合、残Rゾーンの中で最もリードアウト側に配置される未記録領域を有するRゾーン、
の順で割り当てることを特徴とする光ディスク記録装置。
