雄螺子の螺子部に測定光を照射して得られる投影光により前記螺子部の形状を測定する雄螺子の測定装置において、
前記螺子部を突出させた状態で前記雄螺子を支持する支持部と、
前記測定光を前記螺子部の一方の側方側から照射可能な照射部と、
前記測定光により得られる螺子部の軸線に沿う最大断面形状の投影像の外縁により、該外縁に対応する前記螺子部の検出位置を検出する検出部と、
前記検出位置と前記螺子部の軸線との間の垂直距離を演算することで、前記螺子部の螺旋形状の半径を求める処理部と、を備えたことを特徴とする雄螺子の測定装置。
