Description
Claims (16)
- 少なくとも1つの表面を有する特定の形状に軟化点を有する熱可塑性材料加工物を成形するための方法であって、
前記少なくとも1つの表面が成形された表面を有するマンドレルから離隔されているように前記熱可塑性材料の加工物を支持することと、前記加工物と前記表面との間に間隙を設け、前記加工物表面にわたって流体を流し、前記間隙に前記流体の流れを設け、前記加工物表面に対する圧力が、前記間隙に前記流体の流れを設け、前記加工物表面に対する圧力が、前記間隙が比較的小さい位置では、前記間隙における空気から結果として生じる圧力が比較的大きく、前記間隙が比較的大きい位置では、圧力が比較的小さくなるように前記流れが前記加工物表面にわたって圧力分布を確立することと、
前記軟化点に近い温度まで前記加工物を加熱することと、
前記加工物が前記成形された表面から離隔して維持されるように前記加工物表面にわたって前記流体の流れを保持しつつ、前記マンドレルの成形された表面と前記流体の圧力分布とによって前記加工物が前記特定の形状に適合するまで待機することと、
前記軟化点未満まで前記加工物を冷却して、その結果、前記特定の形状を保持することと、
を備える方法。 - 前記特定の形状は、前記成形されたマンドレル表面に適合する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力分布は、前記マンドレルから離隔された前記加工物表面を維持するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力分布は、前記マンドレル表面から等距離で前記加工物表面のあらゆる点を維持するように構成されている、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記流体は、気体を備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記気体は、空気を備える、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記流体は、液体を備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 流体の前記流れは、前記加工物の前記表面でマンドレルによって提供される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 流体の前記流れは、前記加工物の2つの表面のそれぞれで、マンドレルによって提供される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 各マンドレルは、前記それぞれの加工物表面にわたって圧力分布を確立し、前記加工物の第1の表面において圧力下にある流体の前記流れは、前記加工物に対して力を印加し、その力が前記加工物の第2の表面にわたって流れる前記流体に対して前記加工物を押し付ける、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記加工物は、1つの表面に対して直交する線が、水平であるように向けられる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記加工物は、1つの表面に対して直交する線が、垂直であるように向けられる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記加工物は、1つの表面に対して直交する線が、水平成分および垂直成分を有するように向けられる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記加工物は、1つの表面に対して直交する線が、垂直である成分を有するように向けられ、前記圧力分布は、重力に逆らって、前記加工物の重量の少なくとも一部を支持するように配される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記加工物は、前記熱可塑性材料の複数の個別の基体を備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記加工物は、前記熱可塑性材料に連続の本体を備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
