○ マイクロプローブ測定による、種々の合金元素(Si、Mn、Cr、Mo、Ni)のそれぞれの偏析の平均的な程度。各元素に固有な偏析の傾向を、偏析領域の平均組成(Cv)と鋳造中の組成(C0)との差の、後者の値に対する比率(%)(すなわち、(Cv−C0)/Co)により評価した。
○ 荷重300gでの従来のビッカースタイプ試験による、偏析領域の平均硬さ。偏析領域への過剰焼入れは、偏析領域の平均硬さと、その領域を取り巻くマトリクスの平均硬さとの差に相当する。その後、鋳造物の各対の間でこれらの測定値を比較すると、各合金元素の偏析に特異的に帰せられる偏析領域の過剰焼入れへの寄与を導き出すことができる。
炭素:重量%で0.03%から0.2%。この元素にはマルテンサイトの硬さに作用する主効果があり、しがたってその含有量は、部材に望まれる硬さの程度の関数として選択される。望まれる硬さの関数として炭素含有量を決めるために、硬さのスケールを、例えば、320から440HBの区間を40HB区切りの範囲で分けることができる。これらの各範囲は、耐アブレーション摩耗鋼または工具鋼に使用するための従来の各範囲におよそ相当する。

Al≦0.1%
であり、残部が鉄および製造起因の不純物である高強度鋼製のブロック材または板材であって、
厚さが20mm以上であり、前記高強度鋼がベイナイト、マルテンサイト−ベイナイト、またはマルテンサイト組織を有し、偏析領域から生じる、より硬質な領域と硬質でない領域の間の硬さの差がブリネル硬さでブロック材の平均硬さのおよそ20%より低いことを特徴とする高強度鋼製のブロック材または板材。 - 前記高強度鋼の化学組成において、

であることを特徴とする、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の高強度鋼製のブロック材または板材。 - 前記高強度鋼の化学組成において、
2.7%≦Cr≦3%
Mo≦0.3%
であることを特徴とする、請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の高強度鋼製のブロック材または板材。 - 鍛造または圧延による熱間塑性変形による成形の後、空冷により焼入れが実施されることを特徴とする、請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の高強度鋼製のブロック材または板材を製造する方法。
- 鍛造または圧延による熱間塑性変形による成形の後、オーステナイト化が実施され、その後空冷により焼入れされることを特徴とする、請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の高強度鋼製のブロック材または板材を製造する方法。
