Description
殺菌剤溶液中のワイパの効能という問題を考慮して、殺菌第四級物溶液および殺菌漂白剤溶液の使用に対して安定的で両立できるワイパを持つことが望ましい。
ここで使われる「不織布またはウエブ(nonwoven fabric or web)」という用語は、個々の繊維や糸が編み物のような物と同一ではない方法で重ねあわされた構造を有するウエブを意味する。不織布またはウエブは、例えばメルトブローン法、スパンボンド法、および梳繊接合法(bonded carded web processes)のような多くの方法から作られている。不織布の基本重量は、通常、材料のオンス毎平方ヤード(osy)、またはグラム毎平方メートル(g/m2若しくはgsm)であらわされ、繊維の有効径は通常ミクロン(マイクロメートル)であらわされる。(osyからgsmに換算するには、osyに33.91をかけることに注意)。
本発明は、実質上乾燥した形態で(すなわち、事前に浸漬されずに)最終消費者に届けられるワイパを提供することを目的とする。使用者は、表面を殺菌または衛生処理するために、自分で殺菌剤または衛生剤溶液をワイパに加えまたは使用してもよい。最終消費者は個々のワイパを殺菌剤溶液に浸してもよいし、ワイパの束をまとめて殺菌剤に浸すように殺菌剤を乾燥ワイパの束に加えてもよい。このタイプの実際の製品はKimberly-Clark社(Roswell GA)から入手できるWETTASK(登録商標)システムであり、使用者は1巻きのワイパと、使用者が殺菌剤、衛生剤、または他の洗浄剤を注ぎ、ワイパを浸すためのバケツとを提供される。そして、この浸されたワイパは、表面を殺菌し、衛生処理し、または別の方法で洗浄するために使用されてもよい。
ポリプロピレン(PP)メルトブローン材料(100パーセントPP)が試験生産ラインで作られ、本発明に係る様々な殺菌剤放出処理剤で処理された。このPPメルトブローン材料は、基本重量が1oz/yd2(33.91グラム/m2)となるように作られた。殺菌剤放出処理剤は、ダイチップのスロットから出て、メルトブローン繊維がメルトブローンウエブを作るために集まるフォーミングワイアをたどる間に、メルトブローンプロセスの繊維束に直接噴射された。このメルトブローンウエブはその後350度F(177℃)の熱結合ドットパターンカレンダー(thermal bond dot patterned calender)によって結合された。フォーミングワイアの下の真空(18〜21インチH2O(4.5×103 〜5.2×103 Pa))は、さらに繊維を統合し、繊維状ウエブを通して過剰な処理溶液を吸引した。
本発明に係るワイパの有効な殺菌剤を放出する効果を評価するために、ロールは初めに既知の有効な殺菌剤濃度を有する殺菌剤溶液に浸された。そして、サンプルワイパはこのロールから取り去られ、殺菌剤溶液がワイパから絞り出された。その後、この絞り出された殺菌剤溶液は分析され、絞り出された有効な殺菌剤の濃度と最初にワイパロールに与えられた有効な殺菌剤濃度とが比べられた。
Claims (14)
- 殺菌剤溶液に安定的な乾燥ワイパであって、
合成繊維を有する乾燥基材と、
前記基材上に存在する殺菌剤放出処理剤と
を備え、
前記殺菌剤放出処理剤は、前記基材の重量を基準にして0.05パーセント以上、0.2パーセント以下の付加的レベルで前記基材上に存在し、よって、前記ワイパは、第四級塩化アンモニウム殺菌剤溶液及び漂白殺菌剤溶液のいずれが注入されても、前記ワイパに注入される前記殺菌剤溶液の有効な殺菌剤濃度に対する前記ワイパから絞り出された溶液の有効な殺菌剤濃度の百分率が90から110パーセントとなるような、前記有効な殺菌剤に対する安定性を有し、
前記殺菌剤放出処理剤は、N−,N−ジアルキル−N,N−ジメチルアンモニウムX化合物からなる第四級アンモニウム化合物であり、ここで、Xは炭酸、重炭酸、硫酸、硫酸メチル、および硫酸エチルよりなる群から選ばれた化学基を表し、前記N−,N−ジアルキル−N,N−ジメチルアンモニウムX化合物は、ラウリルジメチルアンモニウムヒドロキシプロピルアルキルポリグルコシドであることを特徴とするワイパ。 - 前記殺菌剤放出処理剤は、ジデシルジメチル炭酸アンモニウムおよびジデシルジメチル重炭酸アンモニウムよりなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のワイパ。
- 前記基材は、100パーセントの合成繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のワイパ。
- 前記基材は、ポリプロピレン繊維、ポリエチレン繊維、ポリエステル繊維、または複合繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のワイパ。
- 前記基材は、メルトスパン基材、ドライレイド基材、ウエットレイド基材、編み物基材、および織物基材よりなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のワイパ。
- 前記基材は、パターンロール結合、スルーエア結合、およびハイドロエンタングルよりなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のワイパ。
- 前記基材上に存在する界面活性剤をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項6のいずれか一項に記載のワイパ。
- 請求項1〜請求項7のいずれか一項に記載のワイパと、殺菌剤溶液と、当該ワイパを収容し、その中に該殺菌剤溶液が注入される容器とを含むことを特徴とする表面殺菌用のワイパシステム。
- 前記殺菌剤溶液が第四級アンモニウム殺菌剤または殺菌漂白剤溶液であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のワイパシステム。
- 殺菌剤溶液をつけて使用するワイパを生産する方法であって、
合成繊維を含む乾燥基材を作るステップと、
前記ワイパが、第四級塩化アンモニウム殺菌剤溶液及び漂白殺菌剤溶液のいずれの中においても有効な殺菌剤に安定的となるように、前記基材の重量を基準にして0.05パーセント以上、0.2パーセント以下の付加的レベルで殺菌剤放出処理剤を前記基材につけるステップと
を含み、
前記殺菌剤放出処理剤は、N−,N−ジアルキル−N,N−ジメチルアンモニウムX化合物からなる第四級アンモニウム化合物であり、ここで、Xは炭酸、重炭酸、硫酸、硫酸メチル、および硫酸エチルよりなる群から選ばれた化学基を表し、前記N−,N−ジアルキル−N,N−ジメチルアンモニウムX化合物は、ラウリルジメチルアンモニウムヒドロキシプロピルアルキルポリグルコシドであることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記殺菌剤放出処理剤は、前記基材の作成中につけられることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記殺菌剤放出処理剤は、前記基材の作成前に前記合成繊維につけられることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記殺菌剤放出処理剤は、前記基材の作成後に前記合成繊維につけられることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記基材が前記殺菌剤放出処理剤で処理された後に、前記基材を熱処理するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項10〜請求項13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
