Claims (3)
- RGBの3つのサブ画素で一つの画素を構成するサブ画素を複数有し、それぞれサブ画素電極(N1)と共通電極(Ecom)を構成する第1及び第2の電極に電圧が供給されることによって画像を表示する表示装置であって、
前記サブ画素は、ゲートがゲートラインに接続され、ソースラインとサブ画素電極間に接続されたサブ画素スイッチを構成するサブ画素トランジスタ(Pp)と、ゲートがリフレッシュライン(Lrfrsh)に接続され、前記ソースラインとサンプリングコンデンサ(Csmpl)の一端に接続されたリフレッシュスイッチを構成するリフレッシュトランジスタ(Pr)と、前記リフレッシュライン(Lrfrsh)から、前記リフレッシュトランジスタ(Pr)を介して、所定の第1のリフレッシュ電圧及びその反転電圧である第2のリフレッシュ電圧、もしくは他の電圧である第3のリフレッシュ電圧を受け取る電圧選択手段とを含むリフレッシュ回路を有し、
前記電圧選択手段は、第1のスイッチ(Pa)を構成する直列接続された第1及び第2のトランジスタ(SW1、SW2)を有する第1の経路(Pa)と、第2のスイッチ(Pb)を構成する直列接続された第3及び第4のトランジスタ(SW3、SW4)を有する第2の経路(Pb)を有し、
前記第1のスイッチと前記第2のスイッチは並列接続され、前記第1及び第3のトランジスタのゲート電極は前記サンプリングコンデンサ(Csmpl)の他端に接続され、前記第2及び第4のトランジスタのゲート電極は前記画素電極に接続され、
前記ソースライン(Lsrc)から前記リフレッシュスイッチ(Pr)を介して前記第1の電極に第1のデータを書き込む期間、すなわち前記第1の電極上の電圧が第1のデータ電圧のとき、前記第1の経路を通じて前記第1の電極に前記第1のリフレッシュ電圧を供給し、前記第1の電極上の電圧が前記第1のデータ電圧の反転電圧である第2の電圧のとき、前記第2の経路を通じて前記第1の電極に前記第2のリフレッシュ電圧を供給し、データ書き込み期間の間に前記第1のトランジスタはオフとされ、前記第3のトランジスタはオンとされる、表示装置。 - 前記電圧選択手段が、
前記ソースライン(Lsrc)から前記リフレッシュスイッチ(Pr)を介して前記第1の電極に第3のデータを書き込む期間、すなわち前記第1の電極上の電圧がコモン電圧である第3のデータ電圧のとき、前記第2の経路を通じて前記第1の電極に前記第3のリフレッシュ電圧を供給する、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記サンプリングコンデンサは、前記第2の電極上の電圧に対する前記第1の電極上の電圧の絶対値と、前記第2の電極上の電圧に対する前記第1の電極上の電圧の極性とを記憶し、
前記第1及び第3のトランジスタが、前記サンプリングコンデンサに記憶された前記第1のリフレッシュ電圧およびその反転電圧である前記第2のリフレッシュ電圧の絶対値及び極性により制御される、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
