また、転写ローラを用いて基板にスペーサインキを付着させることを含むことが望ましい。
スペーサ供給用ローラ12の外周面と接触する転写ローラ33の転写板72の表面に、スペーサ供給用ローラ12の溝13に注入されていたスペーサインキ3200が第1転写される。このとき、複数の溝13の所定の間隔は、最終的に表示板200上に配置されるスペーサ320間の間隔と同じ間隔であり、転写ローラ33の回転方向(R2)は、スペーサ供給用ローラ12の回転方向(R1)と反対方向である。そして、転写板72表面に付着されたスペーサインキ3200は、転写ローラ33の回転によって転写ローラ33と接触している表示板200の表面に第2転写される。

Claims (10)
- 配向液印刷用ローラまたはスペーサ印刷用ローラのいずれか1つが装着されるところの第1ローラと、
前記第1ローラと噛み合っている第2ローラと、
前記第1ローラを基準に前記第2ローラの反対側で前記第1ローラと噛み合っている第3ローラと、
前記第1ローラに薬液を供給する薬液供給器と、
前記第3ローラが接触している基板が搭載される印刷台と
を含み、
前記薬液供給器は配向液またはスペーサインキのいずれか一つを選択的に供給することを特徴とする液晶表示装置の製造装置。 - 前記第3ローラが回転して移動して前記薬液を前記基板上に移すことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記配向液印刷用ローラが装着されたところの前記第1ローラは前記配向液が供給される薬液供給用ローラであり、
前記第2ローラは、前記薬液供給用ローラに供給された薬液を均等に分布させる平坦化ローラであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。 - 前記第3ローラは、前記薬液供給用ローラに供給された薬液を受けて前記基板上に印刷する印刷ローラであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記第1及び第3ローラは、互いに反対方向に回転することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記印刷ローラの外周面には印刷パターンを有する印刷板が付着していることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記第2ローラは、前記第1ローラの外周面と接触して回転すると共に、その軸方向に沿って往復移動することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記スペーサ印刷用ローラが装着されたところの前記第1ローラは、表面に複数の溝が形成されて、前記スペーサインキが供給されるスペーサ供給用ローラであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記第2ローラは、前記スペーサ供給用ローラの溝にスペーサインキを均一に注入する加圧ローラであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記スペーサ供給用ローラの表面と接触するブレードを用いて前記溝にスペーサインキを注入することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置の製造装置。
