Description
:Ce蛍光体をエポキシ樹脂中に混合分散させたものを硬化させることによって蛍光体領域を形成している。しかしながら、このように蛍光体を分散させた樹脂材料を硬化させる方法では、蛍光体と樹脂材料との比重の違いによって硬化中に蛍光体が下方に沈む等により蛍光体の濃度にばらつきが生じてしまう。また、そのばらつきの度合いも蛍光体を分散させた樹脂材料を作製後硬化させるまでの時間によって異なる。このため、作製した蛍光体領域中における蛍光体の分布や濃度にばらつきが生じやすい。さらに、LED素子の光放射側に配される、蛍光体を分散させた樹脂材料の量を揃えることが困難である。したがって、所望の色度を有する発光ユニットを再現性良く製造することは難しかった。
以下に、図面を参照して本発明の実施形態について説明する。
ト15が、夫々の発光特性に応じて、例えばグループ(a)、グループ(b)、グループ(c)、グループ(d)の四種類のグループのうちのいずれかに分類されている。発光特性としては、例えば発光強度、発光ピーク波長、色度等の、発光素子の評価に一般的に用いられる指標を用いることができる。白色の照明装置等、色合いに特徴のある照明装置に用いる場合には、色度のように色合いを示す指標を発光特性として用いることが好ましい。例えば発光特性として色度を用いた場合には、同一のグループには類似の色度を有する発光ユニット15,15・・・が分類される。
類したが、分類するグループの数はこれに限らず適宜設定することができる。
以下に、本発明の実施例1に係る照明装置10について、図面を参照して説明する。本実施例においては、図1及び図2に示すような構造を有し、目標色度座標が(0.350、0.380)の白色発光の照明装置について説明する。
で1時間加熱して蛍光体シートを作製した。ただし、発光ユニット15のグループごとに、組み合わせる第2蛍光体材料を構成する青色発光蛍光体、緑色発光蛍光体、赤色発光蛍光体の混合比を変えることにより、蛍光体シートの色度を変えた。各グループの発光ユニット15の光放射側に配する蛍光体シートの、青色発光蛍光体、緑色発光蛍光体、赤色発光蛍光体の混合比及び色度(波長405nmでの励起時)を表2に示す。

Claims (2)
- 基体と、複数の発光装置と、を有する照明装置において、
前記基体には複数の凹部が形成され、
前記発光装置は、前記凹部の底面に配された発光素子及び該発光素子の光放射側に配され且つ蛍光体を含む樹脂からなる第1蛍光体領域を有する発光ユニットと、前記発光ユニットの光放出側に配され且つ蛍光体を含むシート状の樹脂からなる第2蛍光体領域と、を有し、
前記複数の発光装置が有する前記各発光ユニットは、類似の発光特性を有する2つ以上のグループに分類されると共に、同じ前記グループに分類された前記発光ユニットの光放出側に設けられた前記第2蛍光体領域は、それぞれ同じ色変換特性を有し、
前記各グループ毎の前記第2蛍光体領域の前記色変換特性は、前記複数の発光装置から取り出される光の発光特性が揃うように調整されているとともに、前記第1蛍光体領域と前記第2蛍光体領域とが離間していることを特徴とする照明装置。 - 前記凹部は蛍光体を含まない樹脂で充填されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の照明装置。
