Description
(a)酸重縮合触媒の存在下で1,3−プロパンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール二量体および1,3−プロパンジオール三量体またはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択されたジオールを含む反応体を重縮合させて、ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを生成させる工程と、
(b)ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールに水を添加し、重縮合中に生成した酸エステルを加水分解して、ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールおよび加水分解された酸エステルを含有する加水分解された混合物を生成させる工程と、
(c)無機塩および無機塩基からなる群から選択される1種以上の水溶性無機化合物を加水分解された混合物に添加して、(i)重縮合からのポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールおよび残留酸重縮合触媒を含有する有機相と(ii)水相とを含む水性−有機混合物を形成させる工程と、
(d)水相と前記有機相を分離する工程と、
(e)任意に(optionally)、分離された有機相に塩基を添加して、残留酸重縮合触媒の塩を形成させることにより残留酸重縮合触媒を中和させる工程と、
(f)前記有機相から残留水を除去する工程と、
(g)塩基を工程(e)で添加する場合、および任意に(optionally)そうでない場合、(i)前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを含む液相および(ii)残留酸重縮合触媒の塩と未反応である塩基とを含む固相に有機相を分離する工程と
を含む方法に関する。
この実施例は、以下に続く実施例との比較のために添加された水溶性無機化合物を使用しないポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの調製を記載している。
この実施例は、添加された水溶性無機化合物として2.5重量%の塩化ナトリウムを用いるポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの調製を記載している。
この実施例は、添加された水溶性無機化合物として4重量%の塩化ナトリウムを用いるポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの調製を記載している。
この実施例は、添加された水溶性無機化合物として8重量%の塩化ナトリウムを用いるポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの調製を記載している。
これらの実施例は、添加された水溶性無機化合物として4重量%の塩化カリウム、4重量%の塩化カルシウムおよび4重量%の炭酸ナトリウムを用いるポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの調製を記載している。
この実施例は、相分離を促進するために、添加された水溶性無機化合物として塩化ナトリウムと水酸化ナトリウムとの混合物を用いるポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの調製を記載している。
この実施例は、相分離速度を改善するために、水溶性無機化合物として塩化ナトリウムおよび有機溶媒としてトルエンを用いるポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの調製を記載している。
次に、本発明の好ましい態様を示す。
1. ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを製造する方法であって、
(a)酸重縮合触媒の存在下で1,3−プロパンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール二量体および1,3−プロパンジオール三量体またはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択されたジオールを含む反応体を重縮合させて、ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを生成させる工程と、
(b)前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールに水を添加し、重縮合中に生成した酸エステルを加水分解して、前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールおよび加水分解された酸エステルを含有する加水分解された混合物を生成させる工程と、
(c)無機塩および無機塩基からなる群から選択される1種以上の水溶性無機化合物を前記加水分解された混合物に添加して、(i)前記重縮合からの前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールおよび前記残留酸重縮合触媒を含有する有機相と(ii)水相とを含む水性−有機混合物を形成させる工程と、
(d)前記水相と前記有機相を分離する工程と、
(e)任意に、分離された前記有機相に塩基を添加して、前記残留酸重縮合触媒の塩を形成させることにより前記残留酸重縮合触媒を中和させる工程と、
(f)前記有機相から残留水を除去する工程と、
(g)前記塩基を工程(e)で添加する場合、および任意にそうでない場合、(i)前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを含む液相および(ii)前記残留酸重縮合触媒の塩と未反応である塩基とを含む固相に前記有機相を分離する工程と
を含む方法。
2. 前記水溶性無機化合物がアンモニウムイオン、第IA族金属カチオン、第IIA族金属カチオンおよび第IIIA族金属カチオンからなる群から選択されたカチオンと、フッ化物、塩化物、臭化物、ヨウ化物、炭酸塩、炭酸水素塩、硫酸塩、硫酸水素塩、リン酸塩、水素リン酸塩および二水素リン酸塩からなる群から選択されたアニオンとを含む塩を含む上記1に記載の方法。
3. 前記水溶性無機化合物が水酸化物アニオンと、アンモニウムイオン、第IA族金属カチオン、第IIA族金属カチオンおよび第IIIA族金属カチオンからなる群から選択されたカチオンとを含む無機塩基を含む上記1に記載の方法。
4. 前記水溶性無機化合物が塩化リチウム、塩化ナトリウム、塩化カリウム、塩化マグネシウム、塩化カルシウム、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸カリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム、硫酸ナトリウム、リン酸ナトリウム、塩化アンモニウム、水酸化アンモニウムおよびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される上記1に記載の方法。
5. 前記水溶性無機化合物が塩化ナトリウムを含む上記1に記載の方法。
6. 前記水溶性無機化合物が炭酸ナトリウムおよび炭酸カリウムからなる群から選択される上記1に記載の方法。
7. 前記水溶性無機化合物が前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールに添加された水の重量を基準にして約1〜約20重量%の量で添加される上記1に記載の方法。
8. 前記酸重縮合触媒が酸を中和させるのに要する塩基より少ない量の塩基を含む上記1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
9. 前記塩基が工程(c)の前記水溶性無機化合物と同じである上記8に記載の方法。
10. 前記酸重縮合触媒が硫酸と炭酸ナトリウムとを含む上記8に記載の方法。
11. 工程(e)が行われない上記1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
12. 前記塩基を工程(e)で添加する上記1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
Claims (1)
- ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを製造する方法であって、
(a)酸重縮合触媒の存在下で1,3−プロパンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール二量体および1,3−プロパンジオール三量体またはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択されたジオールを含む反応体を重縮合させて、ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを生成させる工程と、
(b)前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールに水を添加し、重縮合中に生成した酸エステルを加水分解して、前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールおよび加水分解された酸エステルを含有する加水分解された混合物を生成させる工程と、
(c)無機塩および無機塩基からなる群から選択される1種以上の水溶性無機化合物を前記加水分解された混合物に添加して、(i)前記重縮合からの前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールおよび前記残留酸重縮合触媒を含有する有機相と(ii)水相とを含む水性−有機混合物を形成させる工程と、
(d)前記水相と前記有機相を分離する工程と、
(e)任意に、分離された前記有機相に塩基を添加して、前記残留酸重縮合触媒の塩を形成させることにより前記残留酸重縮合触媒を中和させる工程と、
(f)前記有機相から残留水を除去する工程と、
(g)前記塩基を工程(e)で添加する場合、および任意にそうでない場合、(i)前記ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを含む液相および(ii)前記残留酸重縮合触媒の塩と未反応である塩基とを含む固相に前記有機相を分離する工程と
を含む方法。
