Description
本発明の目的は、耐候性、磁気特性に優れた円筒状の永久磁石を製造する方法を提供しようとするものである。
比較例1では、コンパウンドとして、等方性SmFeN(株式会社東芝)の平均粒径175μm100重量部に対し、1重量部のエポキシバインダー(CT200 長瀬エレックス株式会社)をアセトンで溶解させ、ハイスピードミキサーを用い、磁性粉表面にコーティングした。コーティングした磁性粉に0.3重量部の滑剤(ステアリン酸亜鉛)を添加し、もう一度ミキサーで混合した。
比較例2では、コンパウンドとして、等方性NdFeB系(MQP−B+ MQ社)の平均粒径106μm、100重量部に対し、1重量部エポキシバインダー(CT200 長瀬エレックス株式会社)をアセトンで溶解させ、ハイスピードミキサーを用い、磁性粉表面にコーティングした。エポキシバインダーをコーティングした磁性粉に0.3重量部の滑剤(ステアリン酸亜鉛)を添加し、もう一度ミキサーで混合した。
比較例3では、コンパウンドとして、等方性NdFeB系(MQP−B+ MQ社)の平均粒径15μm、100重量部に対し、2重量部エポキシバインダー(CT200 長瀬エレックス株式会社)をアセトンで溶解させ、ハイスピードミキサーを用い、磁性粉表面にコーティングした。コーティングした磁性粉に0.3重量部の滑剤(ステアリン酸亜鉛)を添加し、もう一度ミキサーで混合した。
形成した実施例1〜4および比較例1〜3の磁石を、80℃90%RHに設定した環境試験機中に置き、240時間後の磁石表面の錆発生状況を調べた。比較例2および比較例3のNdFeB系等方性圧縮磁石の表面に錆が顕著に発生した。実施例1〜実施例4および比較例1のSmFeN等方性圧縮磁石の表面に錆は発生せず、良好な表面状態であった。
形成した実施例1〜実施例4および比較例1〜比較例3の磁石にシャフト(回転軸)を圧入し、極異方性パターンで着磁を行った。着磁した磁石を図1のステッピングモータに組込み、モータ特性を調べた。

Claims (3)
- 等方性SmFeN磁性粉とバインダーとからなるコンパウンドを圧縮成形することで円筒状の永久磁石を製造する製造方法であって、
前記永久磁石の円筒部の肉厚が0.1mm以上、0.4mm以下の永久磁石を製造する際には、前記等方性SmFeN磁性粉の平均粒径を、5μm以上、125μm以下とするとともに、
前記永久磁石の円筒部の肉厚方向に前記等方性SmFeN磁性粉が少なくとも2個以上分布するように、前記肉厚が小さくなるにしたがって、前記等方性SmFeN磁性粉の平均粒径を小さくし、かつ前記肉厚が小さくなるにしたがって、前記永久磁石の円筒部の肉厚方向に分布する前記等方性SmFeN磁性粉の数を増加させることを特徴とする永久磁石の製造方法。 - 前記肉厚が0.25mm以下の永久磁石を製造する際には、前記等方性SmFeN磁性粉の平均粒径を、5μm以上、50μm以下とすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の永久磁石の製造方法。
- 前記製造方法は、上下パンチが相対移動することで、前記等方性SmFeN磁性粉を圧縮成形することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の永久磁石の製造方法。
