Description
まず、図1に基づいて、本発明の第1の実施形態にかかる定着装置を備える画像形成装置について説明する。なお、図1は、本実施形態にかかる定着装置を備える画像形成装置の構成を示す概略構成図である。
次に、図4および図5に基づいて、本発明の第2の実施形態にかかる定着ユニット130について説明する。なお、図4は、本実施形態にかかる定着ユニット130の構成を示す概略構成図である。図5は、図4の概略平面図である。本実施形態にかかる定着ユニット130は、第1の実施形態と比較して、加熱ベルト133bの内周面に押圧部材を設けた点で相違する。以下、第1の実施形態にかかる定着ユニット130との相違点について主に説明する。

Claims (8)
- 定着ローラと、
前記定着ローラと平行に配置され、前記定着ローラと押圧接触する領域に搬送される記録媒体の未定着トナー像を定着させる加圧ローラと、
前記定着ローラの周面を加熱する外部加熱部材とを備え、
前記外部加熱部材は、内部に熱源を有する筒状弾性部材と、
前記筒状弾性部材を、前記筒状弾性部材と前記定着ローラが押圧接触して前記筒状弾性部材が弾性変形して前記定着ローラの周面に沿うように撓む状態の位置に保持して、さらに前記筒状弾性部材を回転可能に支持する支持部材とを備え、
前記支持部材は、前記筒状弾性部材を該筒状弾性部材の回転方向に摺動可能に、少なくとも前記筒状弾性部材の外周面の中央部と両端部とを支持し、
前記中央部を支持する支持部材は、前記筒状弾性部材の周方向のずれを抑制するため、前記筒状弾性部材の外周の一部を覆うように設けられ、
前記両端部を支持する支持部材は、前記筒状弾性部材の長手方向のずれを抑制するため周方向及び端面を覆うように設けられることを特徴とする定着装置。 - 前記筒状弾性部材は、前記定着ローラ回転方向上流側から前記定着ローラに押圧されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の定着装置。
- 前記筒状弾性部材は、前記定着ローラとの接触による摩擦力によって従動駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の定着装置。
- 前記筒状弾性部材と前記定着ローラとの円周方向における圧接部の幅は、前記定着ローラと前記加圧ローラとの円周方向における圧接部の幅より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の定着装置。
- 前記定着ローラと前記加圧ローラとの圧接部は、前記定着ローラの回転中心と前記圧接部の円周方向の両端とを結ぶ前記定着ローラの中心角が30°以上となるように形成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の定着装置。
- 前記筒状弾性部材の内面は、黒色耐熱塗装されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の定着装置。
- 前記定着ローラは、断熱性を有する耐熱弾性部材を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の定着装置。
- 前記定着ローラは、最外周面に離型層を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の定着装置。
