Description
図1は、本発明の1つの実施の形態による、超広帯域信号102のエネルギーしきい値ξ101を決定するためのシステム及び方法100を示している。エネルギーしきい値101は、受信機でUWB信号102の到達時間(TOA)111を推定する(110)のに使用することができる。
受信されたマルチパス超広帯域(UWB)信号102は、下式(1)として表すことができる。
従来技術では、尖度は、従来の狭帯域無線信号のSNRを推定するのに使用されていた。これについては、Matzner他著「SNR estimation and blind equalization (deconvolution) using the kurtosis」(Proc. IEEE-IMS Workshop on Information Theory and Stats., p. 68, Oct. 1994)を参照願いたい。
上述したような尖度に基づくしきい値選択によれば、従来技術の固定しきい値技法及びSNRに基づく技法と比較して、推定誤差を大幅に減少させることができる。
Claims (7)
- 無線信号のエネルギーしきい値を選択するための方法であって、
無線信号を受信することと、
前記無線信号のエネルギーをサンプルとして定期的にサンプリングすることと、
前記サンプルの前記エネルギーの尖度を、前記無線信号の4次モーメントと前記無線信号の2次モーメントの2乗との比として決定することと、
前記尖度に基づいてエネルギーしきい値を選択することと、
前記エネルギーしきい値に従って前記無線信号の到達時間を求めることと
を含み、
前記無線信号は、超広帯域信号である
無線信号のエネルギーしきい値を選択するための方法。 - 前記無線信号を低雑音増幅することと、
次に、前記増幅された信号を帯域通過フィルタリングすることと、
次に、前記フィルタリングされた信号を2乗することと、
次に、前記2乗された信号を積分することと、
次に、前記サンプリングを実行することと
をさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記エネルギーしきい値を超える最初のサンプルが、前記無線信号の到達時間を示す請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線信号の雑音を低減するために、前記エネルギーしきい値よりも小さなエネルギーを有するサンプルを除去することをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
