Abstract
【解決手段】信号は、超広帯域(UWB)信号である。本方法は、受信信号の尖度を使用して、信号のエネルギーしきい値を推定する。エネルギーしきい値は、信号の到達時間を求めるのに使用することができる。
Description
図1は、本発明の1つの実施の形態による、超広帯域信号102のエネルギーしきい値ξ101を決定するためのシステム及び方法100を示している。エネルギーしきい値101は、受信機でUWB信号102の到達時間(TOA)111を推定する(110)のに使用することができる。
受信されたマルチパス超広帯域(UWB)信号102は、下式(1)として表すことができる。
従来技術では、尖度は、従来の狭帯域無線信号のSNRを推定するのに使用されていた。これについては、Matzner他著「SNR estimation and blind equalization (deconvolution) using the kurtosis」(Proc. IEEE-IMS Workshop on Information Theory and Stats., p. 68, Oct. 1994)を参照願いたい。
上述したような尖度に基づくしきい値選択によれば、従来技術の固定しきい値技法及びSNRに基づく技法と比較して、推定誤差を大幅に減少させることができる。
Claims (10)
- 無線信号のエネルギーしきい値を選択するための方法であって、
無線信号を受信することと、
前記無線信号のエネルギーをサンプルとして定期的にサンプリングすることと、
前記サンプルの前記エネルギーの尖度を、前記無線信号の4次モーメントと前記無線信号の2次モーメントの2乗との比として決定することと、
前記尖度に基づいてエネルギーしきい値を選択することと
を含む無線信号のエネルギーしきい値を選択するための方法。 - 前記無線信号は、広帯域信号である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線信号は、インパルス無線超広帯域信号である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記エネルギーしきい値に従って前記無線信号の到達時間を求めることをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線信号を低雑音増幅することと、
次に、前記増幅された信号を帯域通過フィルタリングすることと、
次に、前記フィルタリングされた信号を2乗することと、
次に、前記2乗された信号を積分することと、
次に、前記サンプリングを実行することと
をさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記エネルギーしきい値を超える最初のサンプルが、前記無線信号の到達時間を示す請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線信号の雑音を低減するために、前記エネルギーしきい値よりも小さなエネルギーを有するサンプルを除去することをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
