Description
また、映像信号にOSD位置情報を付加する手法としては、ディジタル映像信号の最下位ビットにOSD位置情報を重畳する方法がある。近年、HDMIなどのディジタル映像インターフェースが多く用いられるようになってきており、TV・映像機器間で映像信号をディジタルで受け渡すことが可能となってきている。インターフェースがディジタルである場合、映像出力装置20は、以下に示す手法によって、OSD位置情報を高精度に伝達することが可能となる。また、新しいインターフェースや通信プロトコルを追加する必要もない。
また、OSD位置情報等の通信手段として、昨今普及している、制御信号に対応したディジタルインターフェース(HDMIなど)の該制御信号を用いるようにしても良い。HDMI等の制御信号を用いる場合、以下の2つの構成を用いることができる。

Claims (1)
- 入力されたディジタル映像信号を表示部に表示する映像表示装置であって、
前記ディジタル映像信号にはOSDが合成されており、前記ディジタル映像信号に合成されたOSD部分の領域を表す情報として前記ディジタル映像信号の最下位ビットにOSD位置情報が重畳されており、また前記ディジタル映像信号には第1のフレームと第2のフレームとが連続して含まれており、
前記OSD位置情報に基づいて、前記ディジタル映像信号をOSD部分と非OSD部分とに分けてフレームレート変換処理するフレームレート変換処理部を備え、
前記フレームレート変換処理部は、
前記ディジタル映像信号のうち、前記非OSD部分をフレームレート変換処理する通常処理部と、
前記ディジタル映像信号のうち、前記OSD部分をフレームレート変換処理するOSD別処理部とを備え、
前記通常処理部は、前記非OSD部分に関する最終的な中間フレームを作成する際に、
前記第1のフレームの非OSD部分に関する各ピクセルを、前記第1のフレームに関する動きベクトルの大きさ及び角度に応じて別の座標に移動させることで第1の中間フレームを作成し、
前記第2のフレームの非OSD部分に関する各ピクセルを、前記第2のフレームに関する動きベクトルの大きさ及び角度に応じて別の座標に移動させることで第2の中間フレームを作成し、
前記第1の中間フレームと前記第2の中間フレームとを合成することで、前記非OSD部分に関する最終的な中間フレームを作成し、
前記OSD位置情報が重畳された前記ディジタル映像信号の最下位ビットには、フレーム毎に0と1とが繰り返されており、
前記フレームレート変換処理部は、前記OSD位置情報が重畳された前記ディジタル映像信号を受信すると、フレームレート毎に最下位ビットが反転し、且つ最下位ビット以外が静止している部分を検出することで、前記OSD部分を画素単位で検出することを特徴とする、映像表示装置。
