Description
Claims (16)
- プラスチック・レンズ素子を形成する方法であって、
複数のレンズ形状キャビティを含む第一の金型上に変形可能なキャリア・テープを位置決めすることと、
前記キャリア・テープ上に、ある量の液体前駆体材料を分注することと、
前記キャリア・テープと前記第一の金型とに接触するように、第二の金型を移動させることと、
前記第一の金型と前記第二の金型とに圧力を印加すること、および、前記第一の金型と前記液体前駆体材料との間の前記複数のレンズ形状キャビティ内で前記変形可能なキャリア・テープをプレスするように、前記第一の金型と前記第二の金型との間の成形チャンバから空気を排出することとによって、前記レンズの周辺領域で接続されたプラスチック・レンズのシートを形成することと、
前記第一の金型と前記第二の金型とを分離することと、
前記第一の金型から前記プラスチック・レンズのシートを取り除くことと、
前記変形可能なキャリア・テープを進めて、前記プラスチック・レンズのシートを前記第一の金型と前記第二の金型とから移動させ、前記プラスチック・レンズのシートを含んだ前記変形可能なキャリア・テープをヒータ中に移動することと、
前記プラスチック・レンズのシートが、前記変形可能なキャリア・テープ上にあるうちに、前記ヒータ中で前記プラスチック・レンズのシートを硬化させることと、
前記プラスチック・レンズのシートから少なくとも1つのレンズを分離することと
を備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記液体前駆体材料は、液体シリコーンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 固体成形素子を形成するために、前記分注した液体前駆体材料の温度を上昇させて、前記液体前駆体材料を少なくとも部分的に硬化させること
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記変形可能なキャリア・テープ上に固体成形素子を形成するために、前記分注した液体前駆体材料を少なくとも部分的に硬化させることと、
前記第一の金型と前記第二の金型とを分離することと、
前記キャリア・テープを使用して前記第一の金型から前記固体成形素子を取り除くことと
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記キャリア・テープから前記固体成形素子を取り除くことをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の金型から前記固体成形素子を取り除いた後、前記固体成形素子上に残存するフラッシングから前記固体成形素子を分離することをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記フラッシングから前記固体成形素子を分離することは、金型パンチで前記固体成形素子をパンチすることを含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記金型パンチは、中空チップを備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記金型パンチは、前記第一の金型が定める前記固体成形素子の形状に一致するように形作ったチップを備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記固体成形素子は、レンズ素子を備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記レンズ素子が、前記第一の金型の形状が定める光学特性を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記レンズ素子が、前記第二の金型の形状が定める光学特性を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の金型は、複数のキャビティを含み、前記固体成形素子を形成することは、前記複数のキャビティ内で前記固体成形素子のシートを形成することを備え、前記固体成形素子はフラッシングによって接続され、前記第一の金型から前記固体成形素子を取り除くことは、前記キャリア・テープを使用して前記第一の金型から前記固体成形素子のシートを取り除くことを備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の金型と前記第二の金型との間に、真空シールを提供することをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記真空シールを提供することは、前記第一の金型上に前記真空シールを提供することを備え、前記キャリア・テープを位置決めすることは、前記真空シールの上部に前記キャリア・テープを位置決めすることを備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記キャリア・テープを位置決めすることは、横断方向に沿って前記第一の金型と前記第二の金型との間のスペースに前記キャリア・テープを供給することを備え、前記第一の金型から前記固体成形素子を取り除いた後、追加の量の液体前駆体材料を前記第一の金型に分注することと、前記第一の金型と前記第二の金型との間から前記固体成形素子を少なくとも取り除くまで、前記横断方向に沿って前記キャリア・テープを供給することとをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
