Description
目盛スケールの上でポインタを連続的に移動させることにより、車両エンジンの単位時間当たり回転数を指示するアナログタコメータ表示器と、
実際エンジン速度と実際車両速度とを表す入力信号を受信して、少なくとも一つの理想トランスミッションギヤ比に基づいて実際車両速度に対応する少なくとも一つの予定エンジン速度を決定するコンピュータ処理ユニットCPUと、
現在係合ギヤに対応する現在ギヤ番号と少なくとも一つの理想ギヤに対応する理想ギヤ番号とがデジタル表示されるギヤインジケータディスプレイと、
を包含し、
この方法は、それぞれ実際エンジン速度および予定速度と相関する少なくとも一つの表示位置座標を現在ギヤ番号および理想ギヤ番号にそれぞれ割り当てる段階を包含することを特徴とする。
図1は、車両の重要部分、つまりエンジン2、クラッチ3、ギヤボックス4、トランスミッション5、少なくとも4個の車輪6を概略的に示す。

Claims (11)
- マルチギヤトランスミッションを有する車両のタコメータおよびギヤ指示装置であって、
目盛スケール(10)の上でポインタ(11)を連続的に移動させることにより、車両エンジンの単位時間当たり回転数を指示するアナログタコメータ表示器(8)と、
実際エンジン速度と実際車両速度とを表す入力信号を受信し、少なくとも一つの理想トランスミッションギヤ比に基づいて該実際車両速度に対応する少なくとも一つの予定エンジン速度を決定するコンピュータ処理ユニットCPU(12)と、
現在係合ギヤに対応する現在ギヤ番号(15)が、前記ポインタ(11)の現在位置に隣接してデジタル表示されるとともに、
前記少なくとも一つの理想ギヤに対応する理想ギヤ番号(16)が、前記目盛スケールの上で前記対応の予定エンジン速度に隣接してデジタル表示される、
前記目盛スケール(10)に隣接するギヤインジケータディスプレイ(14)と、
を包含し、
前記ギヤインジケータディスプレイが、少なくとも前記現在および理想ギヤ番号(15,16)を様々な位置に表示することが可能であり、
前記現在ギヤおよび理想ギヤ番号(15,16)の前記位置が、前記実際エンジン速度および前記予定エンジン速度にしたがって決定され、
前記現在係合ギヤに対応する現在ギヤ番号(15)の位置は前記ポインタ(11)とともに可変である、装置。 - シフトダウンおよびシフトアップにそれぞれ対応する二つの理想トランスミッションギヤ比に対応する少なくとも二つの予定エンジン速度を前記CPU(12)が決定することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記CPU(12)が最適トランスミッションギヤ比を決定することと、該最適ギヤ比に対応する番号(16)が前記目盛スケールの上で前記対応の予定エンジン速度に隣接してデジタル表示されることとを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記現在係合ギヤを表す番号から前記最適ギヤを表す番号への方向を持つ矢印(18)を前記ギヤディスプレイ(14)が含むことを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 高いトランスミッションギヤへシフトするか低いトランスミッションギヤへシフトするかを指示するため、前記ギヤディスプレイ(14)がプラス+またはマイナス−の符号(20)を表示することを特徴とする、請求項3または4に記載の装置。
- 前記現在係合ギヤ(18)から前記最適ギヤに達するのに必要なギヤチェンジの数を指示する数字(19)を前記ギヤディスプレイ(14)が含むことを特徴とする、請求項4または5に記載の装置。
- 前記タコメータおよび前記ギヤディスプレイがマトリックス表示器に設けられることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記CPU(12)がエンジン速度センサ(9)および車両速度センサ(7)に接続されることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の装置。
- マイクロプロセッサと、RAMメモリなどのデータメモリと、ROMメモリなどのプログラムメモリと、入出力インタフェースとを前記CPU(12)が含むことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載の装置。
- マルチギヤトランスミッションを有する車両のタコメータおよびギヤ指示装置においてギヤ情報を指示するための方法であって、
目盛スケール(10)の上でポインタ(11)を連続的に移動させることにより車両エンジンの単位時間当たり回転数を指示するアナログタコメータ表示器(8)と、
実際エンジン速度と実際車両速度とを表す入力信号を受信して、少なくとも一つの理想トランスミッションギヤ比に基づいて該実際車両速度に対応する少なくとも一つの予定エンジン速度を決定するコンピュータ処理ユニットCPU(12)と、
現在係合ギヤに対応する現在ギヤ番号(15)と、前記少なくとも一つの理想ギヤに対応する理想ギヤ番号(16)とがデジタル表示され、前記現在係合ギヤに対応する現在ギヤ番号(15)の位置は前記ポインタ(11)とともに可変であるギヤインジケータディスプレイ(14)と、
を包含し、
前記実際エンジン速度および前記予定速度と相関する少なくとも一つの表示位置座標を、前記現在ギヤ番号および前記理想ギヤ番号にそれぞれ割り当てる段階を包含することを特徴とする、
方法。 - 次に、前記スケールに対する特定位置に対応の番号を表示するように、各ギヤ番号に割り当てられた前記座標が前記装置により実行されることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の方法。
