Claims (5)
- 第1の透明絶縁基板上に、複数の対向電極信号線、複数のゲート信号配線、および複数のドレイン信号配線を形成し、隣り合う前記ゲート信号配線および隣り合う前記ドレイン信号配線に囲まれた領域を画素領域とし、当該画素領域に、薄膜トランジスタ、前記画素領域を形成する前記ゲート信号配線と前記ドレイン信号配線に沿った外形を有する略矩形のITO(Indium-Tin-Oxide)或いはIZO(Indium-Zinc-Oxide)からなる対向電極、当該対向電極に対して絶縁膜を介して重畳する位置に形成されたITO或いはIZOからなる画素電極を有し、前記第1の透明絶縁基板と第2の透明絶縁基板間に液晶を封入した液晶表示装置において、
前記対向電極は、隣接する前記画素領域の対向電極と、前記対向電極間に形成された前記ゲート信号配線を絶縁膜を介して跨ぐように形成された連結配線で接続され、
前記連結配線は、当該連結配線と前記対向電極間の絶縁膜に形成されたコンタクトホール部において、不透明なパッド領域を介して前記対向電極と電気的に接続され、
前記連結配線は、前記画素電極と同一工程で成膜され、前記パッド領域は、前記ゲート信号配線と同一工程で成膜され、
前記連結配線と重畳する位置の前記第2の透明絶縁基板上に、遮光膜が形成されたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1において、前記連結配線は、前記画素電極と同じ材料からなることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1において、前記連結配線は、前記ドレイン信号配線と平行に形成されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1において、前記対向電極配線は、前記ゲート信号配線と平行に配置されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1において、前記画素電極は、前記ゲート信号配線に対して、時計回りに3〜20度あるいは反時計回りに3〜20度の角度を持つ複数のスリットを有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
