この反応により生じたH2は(3)に示すアノード側の反応式でのH2となる。
Claims (19)
- 流入した炭化水素を含む燃料を燃焼させて燃焼ガスを発生させる燃焼装置と、前記燃焼ガスにより、その内部に搬入された被加熱体を加熱して焼成すると共に、焼成後の前記燃焼ガス及び/又は前記被加熱体に含まれる有機物の分解ガスを炉排ガスとして外部に排出する焼成炉本体とを備える焼成炉と、
カソードと、アノードと、前記カソード及び前記アノードにより挟持され溶融炭酸塩を含有する電解質層とを備え、前記カソード側に酸素及び二酸化炭素を含有するガス(カソードガス)が供給され、前記アノード側に水素を含有するガス(アノードガス)が供給されて発電する燃料電池とを有してなる、燃料電池を備えた焼成炉であって、
前記カソードガスが、被加熱体を加熱する焼成炉から排出される炉排ガス、前記炉排ガスとカソード用ガスもしくは前記炉排ガスを熱源として予熱された前記カソード用ガス(予熱カソード用ガス)とを混合した混合ガスを含有してなると共に、前記カソードガス中の二酸化炭素濃度が、0.1〜50体積%である燃料電池を、前記焼成炉本体から排出される前記炉排ガスが前記カソードガスとして前記カソード側に供給されるように更に備える、燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。 - 前記カソードガスを予熱するための、触媒燃焼器を更に備える請求項1に記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記触媒燃焼器の熱源として、前記アノードから排出されるアノード排ガスを供給するための手段を有する請求項2に記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記焼成炉は、炭化水素及び水蒸気を原料として水素及び二酸化炭素を含有する改質ガスを生成させる水蒸気改質反応を生じさせる水蒸気改質器を更に備える請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記水蒸気改質器が、内部で前記水蒸気改質反応を生じさせる金属製反応管又はセラミックス製反応管、及び前記反応管内部に充填され前記水蒸気改質反応を促進する改質触媒、を有する低温改質部と、内部で前記水蒸気改質反応を生じさせるセラミックス製反応管を有する高温改質部とを備えてなる請求項4に記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記水蒸気改質器が、前記低温改質部が600℃以上、1000℃未満となる位置に配置され、前記高温改質部が1000〜1800℃となる位置に配置されるようにして、前記焼成炉本体及び/又は前記炉排ガスの流路内に配設されてなる請求項5に記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記改質ガスに含有される水素の一部又は全部を、前記アノードガスとして利用する請求項4〜6のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記水蒸気改質器で生成した前記改質ガスを内部に流入させて前記改質ガスの中の前記水素を選択的に分離して水素を主成分とする水素燃料と二酸化炭素を含有する残留ガスとに分離させる水素分離器を更に備える請求項4〜7のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記水素分離器で分離された前記残留ガスの中の二酸化炭素及び/又は前記溶融炭酸塩形燃料電池から排出されるアノードガス(アノード排ガス)中に含有される二酸化炭素を固定化させる二酸化炭素固定器を更に備える請求項8に記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記焼成炉本体が、前記被加熱体を連続的にその内部に搬入し、前記被加熱体を内部で加熱した後に連続的にその外部に搬出する連続式焼成炉本体である請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 前記カソードガスが、炉排ガスである請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉。
- 焼成炉と、カソードと、アノードと、前記カソード及び前記アノードにより挟持され溶融炭酸塩を含有する電解質層とを備える燃料電池を使用して、前記カソード側に酸素及び二酸化炭素を含有するガス(カソードガス)を供給し、前記アノード側に水素を含有するガス(アノードガス)を供給して発電させる燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法であって、
前記焼成炉の内部に被加熱体を搬入し、炭化水素を含有する燃料を燃焼させることで燃焼ガスを発生させ、この発生させた燃焼ガスの熱により、前記被加熱体を加熱し焼成すると共に、燃焼ガスの排ガス(燃焼排ガス)及び/又は被加熱体に含まれる有機物の分解ガスの排ガス(分解排ガス)を炉排ガスとして外部に排出し、
前記カソードガスとして、被加熱体を加熱する焼成炉から排出される炉排ガス、前記炉排ガスとカソード用ガスもしくは前記炉排ガスを熱源として予熱された前記カソード用ガス(予熱カソード用ガス)とを混合した混合ガスを含有すると共に、二酸化炭素濃度が0.1〜50体積%であるものを用いる燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法。 - 前記炭化水素を含有する燃料として、都市ガス、液化天然ガス、LPガス、軽油及び重油からなる群から選択される少なくとも一種を用いる請求項12に記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法。
- 前記カソードガスとして、触媒燃焼器によって予熱されたものを用いる請求項12又は13に記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法。
- 前記触媒燃焼器の熱源として、前記アノードから排出されるアノード排ガスを用いる請求項14に記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法。
- 前記カソードガスとして前記予熱カソード用ガスを含有したものを用いる場合、前記予熱カソード用ガスとして、前記炉排ガスを熱源として熱交換器によって予熱されたものを用いる請求項12〜15のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法。
- 前記アノードガスとして、前記焼成炉に備えられた水蒸気改質器によって改質された改質ガスに含まれる水素を利用する請求項12〜16のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法。
- 前記被加熱体の材質がセラミックである請求項12〜17のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法。
- 前記被加熱体がハニカム構造体である請求項12〜18のいずれかに記載の燃料電池を備えた焼成炉の運転方法。
