しかし、極めて高価であるという欠点がある。
従って、チーグラー−ナッタ触媒系を用いて作られたポリプロピレンの上記欠点がなく、高価なPET樹脂の代わりとなり得る他の樹脂へのニーズが存在する。
本発明の他の目的は、光学特性に優れた樹脂を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、剛性に優れた樹脂を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、耐薬品性に優れた樹脂を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、液体充填温度が高い樹脂を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、耐衝撃性および耐圧縮性に優れた樹脂を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、優れたバリア特性を有する樹脂を提供することにある。
このメルトフローインデックスMFIはポリプロピレン樹脂に対して230℃、2.16kgの荷重下でISO規格1133に従って測定する。
R''s(CpR'k)(C'pR'''k)MQ2 (I)
(CpR'k)はシクロペンタジエニルまたは置換シクロペンタジエニルで、各R'は互いに同一でも異なっていてもよく、水素または炭化水素基、例えば1〜20個の炭素原子を有するアルキル、アルケニル、アリール、アルキルアリールまたはアリールアルキルであり、2つの炭素原子が互いに結合してC4−C6環を形成していてもよく、
(C’pR’’’k)は置換または未置換のシクロペンタジエニルまたはインデニルまたはフルオレニル(fluorenyl)基で、R’’’は互いに同一でも異なっていてもよく、水素または1〜20個の炭素原子を有する炭化水素基、例えばアルキル、アルケニル、アリール、アルキルアリールまたはアリールアルキルであり、
Cp環上の置換基は化合物にC1またはC2対称性を与えるように選択され、
R’’はCpとFlu環との間に構造ブリッジを形成して立体剛性(stereorigidity)を与え、C−C4アルキレン基、ジアルキルゲルマニウムまたはシリコンまたはシロキサン、またはアルキルフォスフィンまたはアミン基にすることができ、
Qは1〜20個の炭素原子を有する炭化水素基、例えばアリール、アルキル、アルケニル、アルキルアリール、アリールアルキル、1〜20個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルボキシル基またはハロゲンで、互いに同一でも異なっていてもよく、
Mは周期律表のIVb族金属で、好ましくはZr、Ti、Hfである]
本発明で使用される好ましいメタロセンの中ではプロピレンのアイソタクチックランダムコポリマーを製造するためのプロピリデン−3−tert−ブチル−5−メチル−シクロペンタジエニル)(フルオレニル)ジルコニウムジクロライドを挙げることができる。
支持体(触媒担体)を使用する場合、本発明で使用可能な支持体は任意の有機または無機の固体、特に多孔質支持体、例えばタルク、無機酸化物、ポリオレフィンのような樹脂の支持体にすることができる。好ましい支持体は微粉砕した無機酸化物である。
ポリマー化段階で触媒をイオン化するアルミノキサンを使用するのが好ましい。公知の任意のアルミノキサンを使用できる。
nは1〜40、好ましくは10〜20、
mは3〜40、好ましくは3〜20、
RはC1〜C8アルキル基、好ましくはメチルである)
メチルアルモキサン(methylalmoxane, MAO)を使用するのが好ましい。
(1) マルチキャビティー金型に射出成形してプレホーム(予備的成形品)を作り、
(2) このプレホームを室温まで冷却し、
(3) プレホームをブロー成形機へ移動させ、
(4) ブロー成形機の輻射加熱オーブンでプレホームを再加熱し、
(5) 加熱されたプレホームを均衡化帯域を通過させてプレホームの壁を介して熱を均一に分散させ、
(6) 中心ロッドを用いてプレホームを軸線方向に延伸し、
(7) 延伸したプレホームを高圧空気によって放射方向に配向させる。
デザイン1はボトル製造で使用されている商用ポリエチレンテレフタラート(PET)のプレホームデザインで、重さは20gで、[図1]に示してある。
デザイン2はボトル製造で使用されているBekum PPのプレホームのデザインで、重さは23.8gで、[図2]に示してある。
P1は商用のPET樹脂R1からデザイン1で作った。
P2はメタロセン触媒を用いて製造したポリプロピレン樹脂R2からデザイン2で作った。
P3はチーグラー−ナッタ触媒を用いて作ったポリプロピレン樹脂R3からデザイン2で作った。
プレホームP2およびP3は型締力が100トンで、最大射出圧力が1750バールのSynergy100射出成形機を用いて成形した。スクリューのL/D(長さL/直径Dの比)は20、直径Dは45mm、圧縮比は1:2で、2つのキャビティ金型を備えている。
プレホームP2およびP3の成形条件は[表1]にまとめてある。
得られたボトルのサイクルタイム、光学特性および機械特性をテストした。結果は[表2]に示してある。
ボトルB1〜B3はそれぞれプレホームP1〜P3から作られ、ボトルB4は市販の商用ヴィテル(Vittel)のボトルである。
衝撃落下強度はUN規格およびテスト規格ASTM 2463-95に基づいて独自に開発した滴下試験で測定した。すなわち、ボトルに水を95%だけ充填し、室温(約25℃)で48時間コンディショニングした後、底をしたにして落下させた。破壊が起こるまで高さを段階的に高くした。このテストの最大落下高さは6メートル(全く破壊なしに測定される最高高さ)である。
ヘイズはテスト規格ISO14782の手順で測定したが、上記のボトルデザインは信頼可能な再測定可能な記録に適したものではない点に注意されたい。同じ所見は本実施例の光学特性にも当てはまる。
Claims (6)
- メタロセン成分としてイソプロピリデン−(3-tert-ブチル-5-メチル−シクロペンタジエニル)(フルオレニル)ジルコニウムジクロライドを含むメタロセン触媒系を用いて製造したアイソタクチックポリプロピレンであって、このアイソタクチックポリプロピレンが、メルトインデックスM12が2〜100g/10分で、エチレンの比率が0〜10重量%である、プロピレンのアイソタクチック ホモポリマーまたはアイソタクチックランダム共重合体であることを特徴とするアイソタクチックポリプロピレンの、優れた光学特性と剛性とを有する射出−延伸−ブロー成形による物品製造での使用。
- 単層物品製造での請求項1に記載の使用。
- 多層物品製造での請求項1に記載の使用。
- 食品用途での請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 非食料用途での請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 上記の射出−延伸−ブロー成形が下記(1)〜(7)のステップを有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の使用:
(1)マルチキャビティー金型に射出成形してプレホーム(予備的成形品)を作り、
(2)このプレホームを室温まで冷却し、
(3)プレホームをブロー成形機へ移動させ、
(4)ブロー成形機の輻射加熱オーブンでプレホームを再加熱し、
(5)加熱されたプレホームを均衡化帯域を通過させてプレホームの壁を介して熱を均一に分散させ、
(6)中心ロッドを用いてプレホームを軸線方向に延伸し、
(7)延伸したプレホームを高圧空気によって放射方向に配向させる。
