Description
ここで用いられる、「内側(inner)」、「外側(outer)」、「より上に(above)」、「より下に(below)」、等のような空間又は方向的用語は、図面に示されているような本発明に関する。しかし、本発明は、種々の別な配位を取ることもでき、従ってそのような用語は限定するものとして考えるべきではないことを理解すべきである。更に、本明細書及び特許請求の範囲の範囲で用いられている大きさ、物理的特徴、等を表現する全ての数字は、どの場合でも用語「約」によって修正できるものとして理解すべきである。従って、反対のことが指示されていない限り、次の明細書及び特許請求の範囲中に記載された数値は、本発明によって得られるように求められる希望の性質に依存して変化させることができる。最低限、特許請求の範囲と同等の教義の適用を制限しようとする意図としてではなく、各数値パラメーターは、少なくとも、多数の報告された重要な数値を参照し、通常の端数を丸める方法を適用することにより得られたものと見做すべきである。更に、ここに記載した多くの範囲は、その中に含まれるどのような小さい範囲でも全て包含されるものと理解すべきである。例えば、「1〜10」と述べた範囲は、1の最小値と10の最大値の間に入る(それらの数値をも含めて)どのような小さい範囲でも全て包含するものと考えるべきである。即ち、1以上の最小値で始まり、10以下の最大値で終わる全ての小範囲、例えば幾つかを挙げるとすれば、1〜3.7、5.5〜10、或は6.5〜9.5のような範囲が含まれる。ここで用いられる用語、「を覆って堆積した(deposited over)」、「を覆って適用した(applied over)」、或は「を覆って形成した(fromed over)」、とは、上ではあるが、必ずしも表面と接触しないで堆積、適用、或は形成されていることを意味する。例えば、基体「を覆って堆積した」材料とは、堆積した材料と基体との間に位置する同じか又は異なる組成物の一つ以上の他の材料が存在することを排除するものではない。更に、ここで言及する文献は、全て参考のため全体的に入れてあるものと理解されたい。用語「可視領域」又は「可視光」とは、400nm〜700nmの範囲の波長の電磁波を指す。用語「赤外領域」又は「赤外線」とは、700nmより大きく、100,000nmまでの範囲の波長を有する電磁波を指す。用語「紫外領域」又は「紫外線」とは、300nm〜400nm未満の範囲の波長を有する電磁波エネルギーを意味する。用語「フイルム」とは、希望の又は選択された組成を有する被覆の領域を指す。「層」は、一つ以上の「フイルム」を含む。「被覆」又は「被覆積層体」とは、一つ以上の「層」から構成されている。ここでの1/4波長光学的厚さの値は、全て550nmの基準波長に対して決定されている。
この例は、本発明のトップコートを有する一つの銀層太陽光調節被覆及び本発明のトップコートを持たないものとの太陽光反射性を例示している。
この例は、二つの銀赤外反射性金属層を有する機能性被覆について、本発明のトップコートの効果を例示している。

Claims (10)
- 機能性被覆で:
第一金属酸化物層;
第二金属酸化物層;及び
前記第一金属酸化物層と第二金属酸化物層との間に配置した赤外線反射性金属層;
を含む機能性被覆;及び
前記機能性被覆の少なくとも一部分を覆って形成したトップコートで:
550nmの波長に関して、0.5 1/4波長光学的厚さ(QWOT)〜1.5QWOTの範囲の厚さを有し、(i)シリカ又は、(ii)酸化亜鉛又は酸化錫を含む第一トップコート層;及び
550nmの波長に関して、0.5QWOT〜1.5QWOTの範囲の厚さを有し、(i)第一トップコート層がシリカを含む場合、酸化亜鉛又は酸化錫、(ii)第一トップコート層が酸化亜鉛又は酸化錫を含む場合、シリカを含む第二トップコート層;
を含むトップコート;
を含む被覆。 - 550nmの波長に関して、0.5QWOT〜1QWOTの範囲の厚さを有し、(i)第二トップコート層が酸化亜鉛又は酸化錫を含む場合、シリカ、
(ii)第二トップコート層がシリカを含む場合、酸化亜鉛又は酸化錫を含む第三トップコート層を含む、請求項1に記載の被覆。 - 前記第一トップコート層と前記第二トップコート層とが、0.2〜1の範囲の屈折率差を有する、請求項1に記載の被覆。
- 金属層が、金、銅、銀、又はそれらの少なくとも一種類を含む混合物、合金、又は組合せの少なくとも一種類を含む、請求項1に記載の被覆。
- 第一金属酸化物層が、亜鉛、錫、又はそれらの合金又は混合物の少なくとも一種類の酸化物を含み、第二金属酸化物層が、亜鉛、錫、又はそれらの合金又は混合物の少なくとも一種類の酸化物を含み、金属層が銀を含む、請求項1に記載の被覆。
- 第三トップコート層が二酸化珪素を含む、請求項2に記載の被覆。
- 屈折率の差が0.2〜0.6の範囲にある、請求項3に記載の被覆。
- 基体;及び
前記基体の少なくとも一部分を覆って堆積した、請求項1に記載の被覆;
を含む被覆物品。 - 更に、第一基体に積層した第二基体を含む、請求項8に記載の被覆物品。
- 基体;
前記基体の少なくとも一部分を覆って堆積した被覆で:
第一誘電体金属酸化物層;
第二誘電体金属酸化物層;及び
前記第一誘電体金属酸化物層と第二誘電体金属酸化物層との間に配置した
赤外線反射性金属層;
を含む機能性被覆;及び
550nmの波長に関して、0.5〜1.5 1/4波長光学的厚さ(QWOT)の範囲の厚さを有し、シリカを含む第一トップコート層;
550nmの波長に関して、0.5QWOT〜1.5QWOTの範囲の厚さを有し、酸化亜鉛又は酸化錫を含む第二トップコート層;及び
550nmの波長に関して、0.5QWOT〜1QWOTの範囲の厚さを有し、シリカを含む第三トップコート層;
を含むトップコート;
を含む被覆;
を含み、然も、前記第一誘電体金属酸化物層が錫酸亜鉛層上の酸化亜鉛層を含み、第二誘電体金属層が酸化亜鉛層上の錫酸亜鉛層を含み、前記赤外線反射性金属層が銀を含む、
被覆物品。
