Description
本出願は、2005年11月28日に出願されたアメリカ合衆国仮出願番号60/740、036(この文献は本明細書に参考として組み入れられている)に対し、優先権を主張する。
本発明は、弾性のあるラミネート材およびその製造方法に関し、より詳細にはその両面に不織布の表面を有する通気性および弾性のあるラミネート材に関する。
通気性および弾性のあるラミネート材は、例えば使い捨て用品(オムツ、生理用ナプキン、および包帯など)を含む多くの製品の製造に使用されている。このような応用に用いるには、ラミネート材は、強靭で、伸縮性に富み、さらに感触が柔らかいことが要求される。しかしながら、これらの特性のひとつを改善すると、その他の特性が損なわれる。その結果、これまでに導入されたラミネート材は、柔らかさ、弾性、および強靭さの間で妥協する傾向があった。
本発明は、柔らかい不織布の表面を両面に有し伸縮性がありかつ強靭である弾性のあるラミネート材に関する。具体的には、当該の弾性のあるラミネート材は、弾性のある内層一層および不織布の外層二層から成り、それぞれの不織布層は異なった方法で伸縮可能に作られている。すなわち、ひとつの不織布層を活性化し、もうひとつの不織布層を硬化するということである。
図1は、本発明の弾性のあるラミネート材の概略図である。
本発明は、弾性のあるラミネート材およびその製造方法に関する。図1を参照して簡単に説明すれば、弾性のあるラミネート材10は、第一の側14および第二の側15を有する弾性のある層12から成る。好ましくは(必ずしもそうでなくてもよいが)、当該の弾性のある層は、孔複数の13を有するか、あるいはまた通気性を持つように改変されている。第一の側14は、弾性のあるフィルム材12*1に結合した活性化不織布16である。本明細書で使用されているように、「活性化した」あるいは「活性化」という語は、弾性のある層一層と少なくとも一層の弾性のより低い層から成るラミネートが、当該の弾性の低い層の変形ポイントを超えて延長限界まで伸び、その結果当該の弾性のある層が当該の弾性のより低い層に邪魔されずに延長限界まで延びることを許容する方法あるいは状態を指す。活性化は公知のテクニックである。第二の側15は、エラストマーフィルム12*2に結合した硬化不織布層17である。本明細書で使用されているように、「硬化した」あるいは「硬化」という語は、不織布の繊維あるいは繊維様の要素をアラインさせ、それにより不織布がアライメントに対し直角方向に延びることを可能にする方法あるいは状態を指す。硬化は、活性化と同様に、不織布に伸張性を与える公知のテクニックである。
Claims (19)
- 第一の不織布を弾性のあるフィルムに結合しラミネート材を形成する段階;
前記ラミネート材を活性化し活性化ラミネート材を形成する段階;および
硬化不織布を、当該活性化ラミネート材の当該弾性のあるフィルムに結合し弾性のあるラミネート材を形成する段階から成ることを特徴とする弾性のあるラミネートを形成する方法。 - 前記弾性フィルムに孔が開いている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記弾性フィルムが前記第一の不織布に結合しており、実質的に同時に孔開け処理を施してある、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の不織布および前記弾性フィルムが実質的に同時に孔開け処理を施してある、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 真空積層化を用いて前記第一の不織布を前記弾性フィルムに結合し、さらに前記弾性フィルムに孔開け処理を施してある、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 第一の結合段階の後に、前記弾性フィルムに孔開け処理を施してある、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 第一の結合段階の前に、前記弾性フィルムに孔開け処理を施してある、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ラミネートの活性化が、前記ラミネートを横方向で活性化することから成る、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ラミネートを交差装置活性化を用いて活性化する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記硬化不織布が前記横方向に延伸可能である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記結合段階の少なくとも一段階が超音波結合である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記硬化不織布の前記結合が超音波により行われる、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記硬化不織布の前記結合が、前記活性化段階と実質的に同じライン速度で行われる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第一の側および第二の側を有する弾性層;
当該の弾性層の第一の側に結合した活性化不織布外層;および
当該の弾性層の第二の側に結合した硬化不織布外層から成るラミネート材。 - 前記弾性層が通気性を持つ、請求項14に記載の弾性ラミネート材。
- 前記弾性層に孔開け処理を施してある、請求項15に記載の弾性ラミネート材。
- 前記活性化不織布層がカード機械で処理された不織布である、請求項14に記載の弾性ラミネート材。
- 前記活性化不織布層がポリプロピレンである、請求項17に記載の弾性ラミネート材。
- 前記活性化不織布層が第一の方向に延伸可能であり、前記硬化不織布層が前記第一の方向に延伸可能である、請求項14に記載の弾性ラミネート材。
