Claims (3)
- 1つ以上の画素を備えていて、そのうちの少なくとも1つの画素が4つ以上の発光素子を備えており、そのそれぞれの発光素子は、輝度効率が周波数に依存して変化する発光スペクトルを持つ広帯域光を発生させるエレクトロルミネッセンス発光有機材料からなる1つ以上の層を含んでいて、そのそれぞれの発光素子はさらに、広帯域光をフィルタリングして異なる色の光を発生させるフィルタを備えているカラーOLEDデバイスであって、
上記発光素子のうちの3つが発生させる赤色、緑色および青色の光がこのOLEDデバイスの第1の色域を指定しており、1つ以上の追加発光素子が少なくとも1つの異なる追加色の光を発生させることと、その追加発光素子のフィルタの周波数範囲が、広帯域光の周波数範囲のうちで、このOLEDデバイスの第1の色域を指定している上記3つの発光素子のフィルタのうちの少なくとも1つの周波数範囲の放射強度よりも強い放射強度を有する部分と一致していて、1つ以上の上記追加発光素子が、第1の色域を指定している上記3つの発光素子のうちの少なくとも1つの輝度効率よりも大きな輝度効率を持つことを特徴とするカラーOLEDデバイス。 - 上記追加色が第1の色域内にある、請求項1に記載のカラーOLEDデバイス。
- 上記追加色が第1の色域外にあり、第1の色域を指定する上記3つの発光素子から発生する光と組み合わさって拡張された第2の色域を指定している、請求項1に記載のカラーOLEDデバイス。
