Description
Claims (6)
- デコーダによって復号化されるべき、第1の画素密度を有するピクチャを含む可変長符号化デジタルビデオデータの量を、前記ピクチャの全サイズより小さいサイズに、低減するための方法であって、各ピクチャは複数のマクロブロックを含み、
前記デジタルビデオデータに含まれるマクロブロックのアドレス印又はスライスの位置印を識別するように前記デジタルビデオデータを分析するステップ、
前記デジタルビデオデータを受けるデコーダの入力バッファにおいて、複数の利用レベルの1つを示す信号を生成するステップであって、前記複数の利用レベルはアンダーフロー状態及びオーバーフロー状態を有する、ステップ、
前記ピクチャの中央部を表す所定の視認可能な表示領域の外側の所定のマクロブロックのアドレス印又は所定のスライスの位置印に関連するマクロブロックを前記デジタルビデオデータから切捨て、切り捨てられずに残ったデジタルビデオデータを生成するステップであって、前記切り捨てられたマクロブロックを復号化しない、ステップ、
前記複数の利用レベルの1つを示す信号が前記オーバーフロー状態を示す場合には、前記デジタルビデオデータから追加のマクロブロックを切り捨て、前記複数の利用レベルの1つを示す信号が前記アンダーフロー状態を示す場合には、切り捨てられずに残った前記デジタルビデオデータにパディング情報を追加する、ステップ及び、
前記切捨てられずに残ったデジタルビデオデータを前記デコーダの入力バッファへ格納するステップであって、前記切捨てられずに残ったデジタルビデオデータのピクチャは、前記第1の画素密度を有する、ステップ、
を含む方法。 - 更に、切捨てられるマクロブロックに関連する予測情報を利用する切捨てでないマクロブロックを識別するステップ、
各識別された切捨てでないマクロブロックに対して、それぞれの近接して表示されるマクロブロック領域を識別するステップ、
各識別された切捨てでないマクロブロックに対して、それぞれの領域のモーション補償パラメータを推定するために前記それぞれの近接して表示されるマクロブロック領域を利用するステップ、及び、
各識別された切捨てでないマクロブロックに対して、前記それぞれの領域のモーション補償パラメータを利用してモーション補償パラメータを計算するステップ、を含む、請求項1の方法。 - デコーダによって復号化されるべき、ピクチャを含む可変長符号化デジタルビデオデータの量を、前記ピクチャの全サイズより小さいサイズに、低減するための装置であって、各ピクチャは複数のマクロブロックを含み、
切り捨てられずに残った前記デジタルビデオデータを格納し、複数の利用レベルの1つを示す信号を生成する入力バッファであって、前記複数の利用レベルはアンダーフロー状態及びオーバーフロー状態を有する、入力バッファ、
前記入力バッファに接続されており、前記デジタルビデオデータに含まれるマクロブロックのアドレス印又はスライスの位置印を識別するように前記デジタルビデオデータを分析し、データ低減符号化デジタルビデオデータを生成するように前記ピクチャの中央部を表す所定の視認可能な表示領域の外側の所定のマクロブロックのアドレス印又は所定のスライスの位置印に関連するマクロブロックを前記デジタルビデオデータから切捨て、前記複数の利用レベルの1つを示す信号が前記オーバーフロー状態を示す場合には前記デジタルビデオデータから追加のマクロブロックを切り捨て、前記複数の利用レベルの1つを示す信号が前記アンダーフロー状態を示す場合には、前記切り捨てられずに残ったデジタルビデオデータにパディング情報を追加するためのビットストリームトリマ、及び
前記入力バッファに接続され、ビデオ信号を生成するように前記データ低減符号化デジタルビデオデータを復号化し、前記切り捨てられたマクロブロックを復号化しないビデオデコーダ、
を備える、装置。 - 前記ビットストリームトリマは、ディスプレイ装置のネイティブモードを示す表示モード制御信号に応答して、前記指示される表示モードに関連しないピクチャ領域に関連するマクロブロックを応答して切捨てる、請求項3の装置。
- 前記ビデオデコーダは、前記デジタルビデオデータ内に含まれるモーション予測情報に応答するモーション補償器を含む、請求項3の装置。
- 前記モーション補償器は、切捨てられるマクロブロックからのモーション予測情報を利用するマクロブロックの場合には、前記モーション補償情報を必要とする前記マクロブロックに近接するマクロブロック領域の平均モーション推定を利用することにより、前記切捨てられるモーション補償情報を推定する、請求項5の装置。
