Claims (7)
- 内部キャビティ(318)を区画する複数の壁(312,314)を有する絶縁性のコンタクトハウジング(302)と、前記内部キャビティ内に前記コンタクトハウジングの外部まで前記壁のうちの一壁を貫通して延びる複数のコンタクト(306)とを具備するヘッダ組立体(300)において、
絶縁性の整列ハウジング(304)が、該整列ハウジングの外面に延びる少なくとも1個の整列部材(352)を有し、
該整列ハウジングは、前記コンタクトハウジングとは別体に設けられると共に該コンタクトハウジングに独立して取り付けられ、
前記コンタクトは、前記整列ハウジングに当接して撓むと共に整列リブ(370)に当接することにより、回路基板に表面実装するための前記コンタクトの共平面性を保証し、
外面に取り付けられる基板実装機構(308)をさらに具備し、
該基板実装機構は、前記コンタクトが前記整列リブに当接する際に前記コンタクトと共平面である回路基板係合面を具備することを特徴とするヘッダ組立体。 - 前記整列ハウジングは、整列キャビティ(354)を区画する複数の壁(340,350)を有し、
前記コンタクトハウジングは接続面(316)を有し、
前記コンタクトは、複数の列で前記接続面を貫通して前記整列キャビティ内へ延びていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のヘッダ組立体。 - 前記整列ハウジングは、前記複数のコンタクトが貫通する前記壁に解放可能に取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のヘッダ組立体。
- 前記コンタクトは、前記整列リブに対して予荷重が与えられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のヘッダ組立体。
- 前記整列リブが回路基板(303)の係合面(301)からほぼ一様な距離で配置されていることにより、前記整列リブの整列面(368)及び前記係合面の間に間隙が形成され、
前記コンタクトは、前記整列面に当接すると共に前記間隙をほぼ埋めることを特徴とする請求項1記載のヘッダ組立体。 - 前記整列ハウジングが前記コンタクトハウジングに取り付けられると、前記整列リブが前記コンタクトに係合し、これにより、前記整列リブに対して前記コンタクトに予荷重が与えられることを特徴とする請求項1記載のヘッダ組立体。
- 前記整列ハウジングは、複数のスロットを有する位置決め部材(364)をさらに具備し、
複数の前記コンタクトの各々は、前記複数のスロットの対応する1個と係合することを特徴とする請求項1記載のヘッダ組立体。
