Description
Claims (5)
- 表示機能と撮像機能の両方を備えた対話型ディスプレイ装置を使用する方法であって、前記ディスプレイ装置は、放射線伝播部分および厚さが不均一な放射線インタフェース部分を有する第1の平面放射線ガイドと、前記第1の平面放射線ガイドとは別個の第2の平面放射線ガイドであって、バックライトを備える第2の平面放射線ガイドと、前記放射線インタフェース部分の領域から画像を表示するように構成された表示機構と、前記放射線インタフェース部分の領域で、前記バックライトおよびカメラを使用して画像を撮像するように構成された撮像機構とを含み、該方法は、
物体を前記第1の平面放射線ガイドの前記放射線インタフェース部分と接触するように、またはその正面に置く動作と、
前記撮像機構が、前記バックライトを使用して前記第2の平面放射線ガイドに光を透過させ、該透過された光を前記第2の平面放射線ガイドの上面から放出して前記第1の平面放射線ガイドの前記放射線インタフェース部分に透過させ、該透過された光を前記放射線インタフェース部分の上面から放出することにより、前記物体を照明する動作と、
前記撮像機構が、前記物体により反射された光を前記放射線インタフェース部分で受信し、該受信した光の少なくとも一部を前記放射線伝搬部分内へと伝搬して、該伝搬された光を前記カメラにより受信し、該受信した光により前記物体の画像を撮像して前記物体の位置を推定する動作と、
前記表示機構が、前記第1の平面放射線ガイドの前記放射線伝搬部分に配置されたプロジェクタにより、入力された画像を前記放射線伝播部分を使用して伝播し、該伝播された画像の少なくとも一部を前記放射線インタフェース部分から放出することによって、前記第1の平面放射線ガイドの前記放射線インタフェース部分から前記画像を出力する動作と
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 放射線伝播部分、および厚さが不均一である放射線インタフェース部分を有する第1の平面放射線ガイドと、
前記第1の平面放射線ガイドとは別個の第2の平面放射線ガイドであって、バックライトを備える第2の平面放射線ガイドと、
前記放射線インタフェース部分の領域から光を出力する表示機構と、
前記放射線インタフェース部分の領域で受信される光を捕捉する撮像機構と
を備えた、表示機能と撮像機能の両方を有する対話型ディスプレイであって、
前記対話型ディスプレイは、前記表示機構および前記撮像機構の両方が前記第1の平面放射線ガイドを使用して、それぞれ該対話型ディスプレイの表示機能および撮像機能を実施するように構成され、
前記表示機構は、表示されるべき光を、前記第1の平面放射線ガイドの前記放射線伝搬部分に配置されたプロジェクタにより、前記放射線伝播部分を使用して伝播し、該伝播された光の少なくとも一部を前記放射線インタフェース部分から放出することによって画像を出力し、および
前記撮像機構は、前記バックライトを使用して、前記第2の平面放射線ガイドに光を透過させ、該透過された光を前記第2の平面放射線ガイドの上面から放出して前記第1の平面放射線ガイドの前記放射線インタフェース部分に透過させ、該透過された光を前記放射線インタフェース部分の上面から放出することにより、前記放射線インタフェース部分と接触するように、またはその正面に置かれた物体を照明し、該物体により反射される光を、前記放射線インタフェース部分を介して受信し、該受信された光の少なくとも一部を前記放射線伝播部分内へと伝播し、該伝搬された光をカメラにより受信し、該受信した光に基づいて前記物体の画像を撮像して前記物体の位置を推定するように構成されることを特徴とする対話型ディスプレイ。 - 前記第1の平面放射線ガイドは、
前記放射線伝播部分のエッジに位置決めされたプロジェクタと、
前記放射線伝播部分のエッジに位置決めされた前記カメラと
をさらに備え、
前記対話型ディスプレイは、前記表示機構が、前記第1の平面放射線ガイドの前記プロジェクタを使用して前記放射線を受信することにより、該対話型ディスプレイの表示機能を実施するように構成され、前記撮像機構が、前記第1の平面放射線ガイドの前記カメラを使用して前記放射線を受信することにより、該対話型ディスプレイの撮像機能を実施するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の対話型ディスプレイ。 - 前記放射線伝播部分は、少なくとも可視光を伝播するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の対話型ディスプレイ。
- 前記放射線伝播部分は、少なくとも赤外光を伝播するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の対話型ディスプレイ。
