Description
次に来る非限定的実施例では、次の試験方法を用いて様々な報告される特性および性質を測定した。ASTMは米国材料試験協会(American Society of Testing Materials)を意味する。TAPPIはパルプ製紙業界技術協会(Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry)を意味する。
実施例1については、40のCSF、約0.4mmの算術平均長さおよび2.6mmの加重平均長さ(ナノファイバーの大部分の直径は200〜400nm範囲にある)の4.0g(乾燥重量基準で)のフィブリル化リオセル繊維の水スラリーを約1600gの水と共に実験室用ミキサー(英国パルプ評価装置)中に入れ、3分間かき混ぜた。
実施例4については、2.0g(乾燥重量基準で)の実施例1と同じフィブリル化リオセル繊維と2.0g(乾燥重量基準で)の104のCSFまで精製されたサザーン漂白堅木クラフトパルプ(Southern Bleached Hardwood Kraft pulp)(インターナショナル・ペーパー・カンパニー(International Paper Company)製の)とを約1600gの水と共に実験室用ミキサー(英国パルプ評価装置)中に一緒に入れ、3分間かき混ぜた。
実施例6〜7についての紙サンプルを、2つの成分(フィブリル化リオセル繊維および木材パルプ)の百分率を変えたことを除いて実施例5について上に記載したように製造し、カレンダー掛けした。紙組成物の2成分の百分率およびカレンダー掛け紙の性質を下の表1に示す。
150のCSF、約0.5mmの算術平均長さおよび3.8mmの加重平均長さ(ナノファイバーの大部分の直径は200〜400nm範囲にある)の2.0g(乾燥重量基準で)のフィブリル化リオセル繊維と2.0gの104CSF精製漂白堅木パルプとを約1600gの水と共に実験室用ミキサー(英国パルプ評価装置)中に入れ、3分間かき混ぜた。
2.00g(乾燥重量基準で)の実施例1と同じフィブリル化リオセル繊維と2.00g(乾燥重量基準で)の254のCSFまで精製された漂白堅木パルプとを約1600gの水と共に実験室用ミキサー(英国パルプ評価装置)中に一緒に入れ、3分間かき混ぜた。スラリー中の固体材料は50重量パーセントのフィブリル化リオセル繊維および50重量パーセントの木材パルプであった。
2.00g(乾燥重量基準で)の実施例1と同じフィブリル化リオセル繊維と2.00g(乾燥重量基準で)の254のCSFまで精製された漂白堅木パルプとを約1600gの水と共に実験室用ミキサー(英国パルプ評価装置)中に一緒に入れ、3分間かき混ぜた。その後、0.40g(乾燥重量基準で)のポリ酢酸ビニル分散系タイプDF51/10(ABアケーマ(Achema)から入手可能な)を加え、かき混ぜをさらに3分間継続した。最終スラリー中の固体材料は45.45重量パーセントのフィブリル化リオセル繊維、45.45重量パーセントの木材パルプ、および9.1重量パーセントのポリ酢酸ビニル・バインダーであった。
実施例1と同じ2.00g(乾燥重量基準で)のフィブリル化リオセル繊維を全体として約1600gの水と共に実験室用ミキサー(英国パルプ評価装置)中に入れ、3分間かき混ぜた。
電気ブローン連続ナイロン6,6ナノファイバーを、キム(Kim)らに付与されたPCT国際公開第03/080905号パンフレットに従って製造し、引き続き水と共にワーナー高速ブレンダー中に入れ、繊維長さを減らし、かつ、水中に繊維を分散させるためにかき混ぜた。最終ナノファイバーは約500nmの平均直径(直径範囲は約300〜約700nmである)、約0.19mmの算術平均長さおよび約0.66mmの加重平均長さを有した。2.00g(乾燥重量基準で)のナノファイバーと2.00g(乾燥重量基準で)の254のCSFまで精製された漂白堅木パルプとを約1600gの水と共に実験室用ミキサー(英国パルプ評価装置)中に一緒に入れ、3分間かき混ぜた。スラリー中の固体材料は50重量パーセントのナイロン・ナノファイバーおよび50重量パーセントの木材パルプであった。
比較例AおよびBは商業的に入手可能な木材パルプベースの薬包紙である。比較例Aは45#インパーボン(Impervon)(登録商標)薬包紙であり、比較例Bは60#インパーボン(登録商標)薬包紙であり、両方ともキンバリー−クラーク・コーポレーション(Kimberly−Clark Corporation)から入手可能である。
1. 10nm〜1000nmの範囲の直径を有するフィブリル化ナノファイバーを含んでなる、医療パッケージング用の多孔質繊維シート。
2. フィブリル化ナノファイバーがフィブリル化リオセル繊維を含んでなる上記1に記載のシート。
3. バインダーを含んでなる上記1に記載のシート。
4. 繊維シート中のナノファイバーと木材パルプとの合わせた総重量を基準にして、1重量パーセント〜99重量パーセントのナノファイバーと99重量パーセント〜1重量パーセントの木材パルプとを含んでなる多孔質繊維シートであって、該ナノファイバーが10nm〜1000nmの範囲の直径を有するシート。
5. ナノファイバーおよび木材パルプ繊維がシートの厚さの端から端まで実質的に均一に分配されている上記4に記載のシート。
6. シートがウェット−レイされている上記4に記載のシート。
7. 繊維シートがドライ−レイされている上記4に記載のシート。
8. 繊維シートがバインダーを含んでなる上記6に記載のシート。
9. 少なくとも1つのナノファイバー層および少なくとも1つの木材パルプ層を含んでなる上記4に記載のシート。
10. ナノファイバーがフィブリル化されている上記4に記載のシート。
11. フィブリル化ナノファイバーがリオセルである上記10に記載のシート。
12. 少なくとも1のLRVを有する上記1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシート。
13. 少なくとも3のLRVを有する上記1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシート。
14. 少なくとも5.5のLRVを有する上記1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシート。
15. 0.0005%の最大胞子透過率を有する上記1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシート。
16. ウェット−レイド木材パルプの少なくとも2つの外層と該2つの外層の間に挟まれたフィブリル化ナノファイバー/木材パルプ・ブレンドの内層とを含んでなる多孔質繊維シートであって、該ブレンドが該ブレンド中のフィブリル化ナノファイバーと木材パルプとの合わせた総重量を基準にして、1重量パーセント〜99重量パーセントのフィブリル化ナノファイバーと99重量パーセント〜1重量パーセントの木材パルプとを含んでなるシート。
17. フィブリル化ナノファイバーがリオセルである上記16に記載のシート。
18. 第2構成部品にヒートシールされた蓋構成部品を含んでなる医療パッケージであって、該蓋構成部品が上記1、4、または16のいずれか一項に記載の繊維シートを含んでなり、該繊維シートが少なくとも1のLRVを有する医療パッケージ。
19. 繊維シートが少なくとも3のLRVを有する上記18に記載の医療パッケージ。
20. 繊維シートが少なくとも5.5のLRVを有する上記18に記載の医療パッケージ。
21. 繊維シートが0.0005%の最大胞子透過率を有する上記18に記載の医療パッケージ。
Claims (2)
- ウェット−レイド木材パルプの少なくとも2つの外層と該2つの外層の間に挟まれたフィブリル化ナノファイバー/木材パルプ・ブレンドの内層とを含んでなる多孔質繊維シートであって、該ブレンドが該ブレンド中のフィブリル化ナノファイバーと木材パルプとの合わせた総重量を基準にして、1重量パーセント〜99重量パーセントのフィブリル化ナノファイバーと99重量パーセント〜1重量パーセントの木材パルプとを含んでなるシート。
- 第2構成部品にヒートシールされた蓋構成部品を含んでなる医療パッケージであって、該蓋構成部品が請求項1に記載の繊維シートを含んでなり、該繊維シートが少なくとも1のLRVを有する医療パッケージ。
