Claims (2)
- すくい面と逃げ面との交差稜線部に切れ刃が形成され、前記逃げ面の表面が研磨により仕上げられることにより、前記切れ刃の先端にシャープエッジが形成されたスローアウェイチップにおいて、前記すくい面の表面が研磨により仕上げられており、前記すくい面には、少なくとも切削に関与する切れ刃に沿って、前記切れ刃の先端から該スローアウェイチップの中央部へ向かって順に第1すくい面と第2すくい面とが形成され、前記切れ刃に直交する断面において、前記第1すくい面は、そのすくい角が前記切れ刃の先端に近づくにしたがって漸次減少するように、直線及び/又は曲線から構成された上方へ凸の曲線状に形成され、さらに、切れ刃の先端の前記シャープエッジから該スローアウェイチップの中央部へ向かって0.00mmよりも大きく且つ0.07mm以下の範囲にわたって形成され、前記第1すくい面と前記第2すくい面とが交差する接続部において、前記第1すくい面の接線すくい角が、0°以上且つ35°以下の範囲に設定され、前記シャープエッヂにおける前記第1すくい面の接線すくい角が、−15°以上且つ25°以下の範囲に設定されていることを特徴とするスローアウェイチップ。
- 少なくとも前記第1すくい面の表面がRy1.5μm以下の表面粗さであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスローアウェイチップ。
