Description
近代的な航空機は一般的に、複合構造を利用しかつさまざまなハイテク電子機器を組入れるように設計される。伝統的な航空機設計に対するこれらの改良の結果、航空機業界には広範な利益がもたらされたが、これらの同じ利益のために近代的な航空機が落雷などの伝統的な問題の影響を被りやすくなり得る。近代的な航空機の電子機器は、連続した落雷による高出力の電気に不適切にさらされると、損傷したり誤作動したりする可能性がある。同様に、適切な接地技術を備えない複合操縦面は、落雷の場合に構造的な損傷を受ける可能性がある。したがって、落雷に耐えかつこれを許容するように設計された航空機の能力は航空機業界にとって意義深い利点となる。
したがって、この発明の目的は、避雷手段が改良された航空機パネル構造を提供することである。この発明のさらなる目的は、製造時間および材料費が改善されて作製され得る、避雷手段を備えた複合表面を記載することである。
この発明に従う航空機パネルアセンブリ10の図示である図1をここで参照して、図示される航空機パネルアセンブリ10は、航空機構造12内の定位置にある。航空機構造12は安定板構造として図示されるが、航空機パネルアセンブリは広範な航空機構造12での使用を意図されることが企図されることを理解されたい。図示される航空機構造12は、前縁14、前方ボックス(forward box)16、メインボックス18、後縁20および飛行操縦面22を含む。落雷の場合は、航空機構造12または内部電子デバイス(図示せず)への損傷を防止するため、航空機構造12の外面24から接地可能な下部構造26へ電気が流れるようにすることが望ましい。先行技術の方法は、高価なエキスパンドメッシュ(図示せず)およびアルミニウムグロメット(図示せず)の設置を利用して電流の流れおよび下部構造26への接地のための経路を設けた。
翼前方ボックスパネルとしての使用を企図する。これを後縁52上で用い得ることも企図される。これら特定の使用が記載されたが、本願が記載する技術は広範な場所で航空機表面の広い範囲に適用可能であることを理解されたい。
Claims (8)
- 航空機パネルアセンブリであって、
パネルコアと、
前記パネルコアに適用され、内部プライ層を形成する複数のプリプレグプライと、
前記内部プライ層の外側層に適用される少なくとも1つの金属箔層とを備え、前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層は、外面と航空機パネルアセンブリの接地可能な下部構造接触面との間に接地のための電気的導管を提供する、航空機パネルアセンブリ。 - 前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層に適用される、ロクタイトのシンスキンを含む外表面の外板と、前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層との間に適用される周辺プリプレグ層をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の航空機パネルアセンブリ。
- 前記パネルコアはハニカムコアを含み、前記パネルコアと前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層との間に位置決めされる複数の充填材プライ層をさらに備える、請求項1または2に記載の航空機パネルアセンブリ。
- 航空機構造アセンブリであって、
接地可能な下部構造と、
外面および下部構造接触面を有する少なくとも1つの航空機パネルアセンブリとを備え、前記少なくとも1つの航空機パネルアセンブリは、
パネルコアと、
前記パネルコアに適用され、内部プライ層を形成する複数のプリプレグプライと、
前記内部プライ層の外側層に適用される少なくとも1つの金属箔層とを含み、前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層は、落雷の間に受けた電流が前記外面から前記下部構造に伝導されるように、前記外面と前記下部構造接触面との間の電気的導管を提供する、航空機構造アセンブリ。 - 前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層に適用される、ロクタイトのシンスキンを含む外表面の外板と、前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層に適用される周辺プリプレグ層をさらに備える、請求項4に記載の航空機構造アセンブリ。
- 前記少なくとも1つの航空機パネルアセンブリは前方ボックスパネルを含む、請求項4または5に記載の航空機構造アセンブリ。
- 前記少なくとも1つの航空機パネルアセンブリは後縁パネルを含む、請求項4ないし6のいずれかに記載の航空機構造アセンブリ。
- 下部構造および航空機パネルアセンブリを含む航空機構造アセンブリへの落雷によって発生する電流による損傷を防止する方法であって、
外面から接地可能な下部構造へ落雷による電流を伝導するステップを備え、前記伝導ステップは、航空機パネルアセンブリの外面から少なくとも1つの金属箔層へ電流を伝導するステップを含み、前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層はハニカムコアを覆う複数のプリプレグプライの上に位置決めされ、さらに前記伝導ステップは、前記少なくとも1つの金属箔層から下部構造へ電流を伝導するステップを含む、方法。
