本発明の一実施形態について図1ないし図12に基づいて説明すると以下の通りである。
光情報記録媒体2は、図6に示されるように、光情報記録媒体1の実施例1であり、該光情報記録媒体1のもっとも好適な例である。光情報記録媒体2は、透光層10と、薄膜部20と、基板30とを備え、再生光入射面からこの順に形成されている。
本発明の他の実施形態について説明すれば、以下の通りである。なお、実施形態1と同一の機能を有する部材については、同一の符号を付記し、その説明は省略する。
Claims (8)
- 再生光の入射側より、透光層と、光学多重干渉の状態の変化に基づいて反射率が変化する薄膜部と、記録情報に対応して、再生装置が有する光学系解像限界以下の記録マークを含む複数の記録マークが、所定の規格に従って、当該規格によって定められた異なる長さの凸および/または凹として設けられた基板とが順に積層された光情報記録媒体であって、
上記薄膜部は、再生光の入射側より順に、温度が上昇することによって、再生光の波長における光学定数である、屈折率および消衰係数を変化させることに伴って、光学多重干渉の状態を変化させる再生層と、入射される再生光の一部を吸収して熱に変換することにより、上記再生層の温度を上昇させる光吸収層とを有し、
上記薄膜部の室温時における反射率の波長分布において、隣り合う極小値および極大値となる波長をそれぞれ、λminおよびλmaxとし、再生光の波長をλrとしたとき、λmin<λr<λmaxの関係が成立することを特徴とする光情報記録媒体。 - 上記光吸収層は、SiもしくはGe、またはどちらかを主成分とした混合物からなることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の光情報記録媒体。
- 上記再生層は、金属酸化物、または該金属酸化物を主成分とした混合物からなることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項または第2項に記載の光情報記録媒体。
- 上記金属酸化物は、酸化亜鉛であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第3項に記載の光情報記録媒体。
- 再生光の入射側より、記録情報に対応して、再生装置が有する光学系解像限界以下の記録マークを含む複数の記録マークが、所定の規格に従って、当該規格によって定められた異なる長さの凸および/または凹として設けられた基板と、光学多重干渉の状態の変化に基づいて反射率が変化する薄膜部とが積層された光情報記録媒体であって、
上記薄膜部は、再生光の入射側より順に、温度が上昇することによって、再生光の波長における光学定数である、屈折率および消衰係数を変化させることに伴って、光学多重干渉の状態を変化させる再生層と、
入射される再生光の一部を吸収して熱に変換することにより、上記再生層の温度を上昇させる光吸収層とを有し、
上記薄膜部の室温時における反射率の波長分布において、隣り合う極小値および極大値となる波長をそれぞれ、λminおよびλmaxとし、再生光の波長をλrとしたとき、λmin<λr<λmaxの関係が成立することを特徴とする光情報記録媒体。 - 上記光吸収層は、SiもしくはGe、またはどちらかを主成分とした混合物からなることを特徴とする請求の範囲第5項に記載の光情報記録媒体。
- 上記再生層は、金属酸化物、または該金属酸化物を主成分とした混合物からなることを特徴とする請求の範囲第5項または第6項に記載の光情報記録媒体。
- 上記金属酸化物は、酸化亜鉛、または該酸化亜鉛を主成分とした混合物であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第7項に記載の光情報記録媒体。
