Description
(a)カテーテル先端部を体内に挿入し易くするためにカテーテル先端部の形状を鋭利にすると、送血口も小さくせざるを得なくなり、送血の血液流量の確保が難しくなって、送血効率が下がる。
(b)先端の送血口を小さくすればする程、送血口からは血液がジェット流状に吹き出るため、血管に対して過度の刺激となり、好ましくない。
(c)先端の送血口を小さくすればする程、送血圧力が高くなり、カテーテルの基端側に接続する透析装置に過剰な圧力が加わり、透析装置に過負荷がかかる。
(d)逆に、先端の送血口を大きくすると、先端部形状を鋭利にすることができず、カテーテルの挿入抵抗が高くなる。
(e)ガイドワイヤ挿通専用のルーメンがないため、ガイドワイヤを挿通する場合、送血用ルーメンを流用して使用しなければならず、使い勝手が悪い。
(f)輸液を注入することができない(送血用のルーメンに輸液と血液を混合して血管に送る手法もあるが、血液と輸液を混合することで血液が固まる虞れがあり、好ましくない)。
また、凸部からなる輸液用ルーメン形成部がカテーテルの補強リブとして働き、脱血口を含むカテーテル全体をキンク(折れ曲がり)させにくくし、脱血口を大きくしても安定した開口を維持できる。また、脱血口を大きくすることで、陰圧を分布できるので、脱血時にカテーテルが血管壁側に寄せられてしまうのを低減でき、カテーテルで血管壁を刺激することがなくなって、血栓形成を抑制することができる。
また、鋭利な先端形状を維持することができる。このため、挿入抵抗が下がり、体内への挿入がし易く、皮膚組織に食い込ませることなくカテーテルを挿入することができる。
図1乃至図7はいずれも本発明の実施の形態1に係るトリプルルーメンカテーテルを示すもので、図1はその全体構成を示す模式図、図2は図1のA−A線矢視断面図、図3はその先端部分を拡大して示す斜視図、図4はその送血用ルーメン内に送血口までスタイレット(芯材)を挿入した状態の先端部分を拡大して示す斜視図、図5はそのカテーテル本体の先端に差し込まれて先端部を形成する部材を示す斜視図、図6はその先端形成部材の側面図、図7は図6のB−B線矢視断面図である。
図8乃至図12はいずれも本発明の実施の形態2に係るトリプルルーメンカテーテルを示すもので、図8はその全体構成を示す模式図、図9はその先端部分を拡大して示す斜視図、図10はその送血用ルーメン内に送血口までスタイレット(芯材)を挿入した状態の先端部分を拡大して示す斜視図、図11はそのカテーテル本体の先端に差し込まれて先端部を形成する先端形成部材を示す斜視図、図12はこの先端形成部材の側面図であり、各図中、前述の実施の形態1のものと同一部分には同一符号を付し、その説明は省略する。

Claims (2)
- 先端が縮径する頭部を有し、カテーテル本体の先端に設けられた先端形成部材と、
前記先端形成部材の先端に開口された輸液口まで形成された輸液用ルーメンと、
前記カテーテル本体の先端近傍に軸方向に開口された送血口まで形成された送血用ルーメンと、
前記カテーテル本体の側壁に対向して開口された少なくとも一対の脱血口まで形成された脱血用ルーメンと、を備え、
前記送血用ルーメンと前記脱血用ルーメンとの間に、該脱血用ルーメンの断面積が前記送血用ルーメンの断面積より大きくなるように隔壁を設けるとともに、前記脱血用ルーメンの内壁の前記隔壁に対向する位置に該隔壁側に突出する凸部を形成し、該凸部に前記輸液用ルーメンを設け、
前記先端形成部材は、前記輸液口が、前記輸液用ルーメンにまっすぐに連通しているとともに、その頭部の上面に、前記隔壁から連続するようにかつ先端が下方へ傾斜する平坦面が形成され、
前記送血口の開口面は、軸方向後方へ傾斜されてなることを特徴とするトリプルルーメンカテーテル。 - 前記送血口は、前記隔壁を除く送血用ルーメン形成壁部を先端から所定量切り欠いて形成した段部からなることを特徴とする請求項1記載のトリプルルーメンカテーテル。
