Claims (9)
- 1〜10重量%のアルカリ珪酸塩からなる粘結剤と、1〜10重量%の非晶質二酸化珪素を含有する凝集体とを含み、残部としての0.01〜5mmの粒径を有する珪砂を含む鋳造用鋳型材料又は鋳型部品であって、前記非晶質二酸化珪素は85%を超える純度を有し、球状で、45μm以上の直径を有する粒子の割合が1.5重量%以下であり、前記非晶質二酸化珪素の表面に前記非晶質二酸化珪素の平均粒径の0.5〜1%の厚みを有する膨潤相が形成されていることを特徴とする鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- 前記非晶質二酸化珪素の平均粒径が10〜45μmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- アルカリ性に設定された前記非晶質二酸化珪素が負に帯電した酸素基を有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- アルカリ性に設定された前記非晶質二酸化珪素と前記珪砂との間に、粘結中心部を介して粘結剤架橋が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- 前記粘結剤が0.01〜0.50重量%の鉄、アルミニウム及び/又はカドミウム含有量を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- 前記請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の鋳造用鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法であって、前記凝集体として、膨潤相を形成した球状の非晶質二酸化珪素を得るために、85%を超える純度を有し、球状で、45μmを超える直径を有する粒子の割合が1.5重量%以下である非晶質二酸化珪素を、非晶質二酸化珪素の固形分が20〜70重量%となるよう、pHが9〜14の懸濁液に投入し、前記膨潤相が前記非晶質二酸化珪素の表面に形成されるまで、前記非晶質二酸化珪素に対してアルカリ処理を少なくとも4分間行い、得られた膨潤相を形成した前記非晶質二酸化珪素を、鋳型砂に対する粘結剤の混合割合(粘結剤の重量:鋳型砂の重量)及び鋳型砂に対する非晶質二酸化珪素の混合割合(非晶質二酸化珪素の重量:鋳型砂の重量)が1〜10:90となるように鋳型砂及び粘結剤と均一に混合し、前記非晶質二酸化珪素を前記鋳型砂及び前記粘結剤と共に圧力下で鋳型枠に吹き込み、乾燥して中子を形成することを特徴とする鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。
- 前記非晶質二酸化珪素の表面を部分的に溶解し、前記非晶質二酸化珪素の平均粒径を2%増加させると共に膨潤相を形成することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。
- 前記膨潤相を形成する処理を9〜14のpHで開始し、10分間以内に終了することを特徴とする請求項6又は7に記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。
- 前記9〜14のpHを1分間当たり0.1pH以下で低下させることを特徴とする請求項6〜8のいずれかに記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。
