Abstract
【構成】1〜10%のアルカリ珪酸塩からなる粘結剤と、1〜10重量%の非晶質二酸化珪素を含有する凝集体と、残部としての0.01〜5mmの粒径を有する珪砂とを含む鋳造用鋳型材料又は鋳型部品であって、非晶質二酸化珪素が球状で、45μm以上の直径を有する粒子の割合が1.5重量%以下であり、非晶質二酸化珪素の表面に平均粒径の0.5〜1%の厚みを有する膨潤相が形成されていることを特徴とする

Claims (11)
- 1〜10%のアルカリ珪酸塩からなる粘結剤と、1〜10重量%の非晶質二酸化珪素を含有する凝集体と、残部としての0.01〜5mmの粒径を有する珪砂とを含む鋳造用鋳型材料又は鋳型部品であって、
前記非晶質二酸化珪素が球状で、45μm以上の直径を有する粒子の割合が1.5重量%以下であり、
前記非晶質二酸化珪素の表面に平均粒径の0.5〜1%の厚みを有する膨潤相が形成されていることを特徴とする鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。 - 前記非晶質二酸化珪素の平均粒径が10〜45μmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- 前記非晶質二酸化珪素が85%を超える純度を有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- アルカリ性に設定された前記二酸化珪素が負に帯電した酸素基を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- アルカリ性に設定された前記二酸化珪素と前記珪砂との間に、粘結中心部を介して粘結剤架橋が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- 前記粘結剤が0.01〜0.50%の鉄、アルミニウム及び/又はカドミウム含有量を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品。
- 前記請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の鋳造用鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法であって、
前記凝集体として、45μmを超える粒径を有する粒子の割合が1.5重量%以下である部分的に溶解した非晶質球状SiO2を、二酸化珪素の固形分が20〜70%であり、pHが9〜14となるように懸濁液に投入し、
膨潤相が前記二酸化珪素の表面で形成されるまで、前記非晶質二酸化珪素に対してアルカリ処理を少なくとも4分間行い、
前記二酸化珪素を、鋳型砂に対する粘結剤/SiO2の混合割合が1〜10:90となるように鋳型砂及び粘結剤と均一に混合し、前記二酸化珪素を前記鋳型砂及び前記粘結剤と共に圧力下で鋳型枠に吹き込み、乾燥して中子を形成することを特徴とする鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。 - 前記凝集体として、45μm以上の粒径を有する粒子の割合が1.5重量%以下である部分的に溶解した非晶質球状SiO2を、二酸化珪素の固形分が20〜70%であり、pHが9〜14となるように懸濁液に投入することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。
- 前記非晶質二酸化珪素の表面を部分的に溶解し、前記二酸化珪素の平均粒径を2%増加させると共に膨潤相を形成することを特徴とする請求項7又は8に記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。
- 前記膨潤相を形成する処理を9〜14のpHで開始し、10分間以内に終了することを特徴とする請求項7〜9のいずれかに記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。
- 前記9〜14のpHを1分間当たり0.1pH以下で低下させることを特徴とする請求項7〜10のいずれかに記載の鋳型材料又は鋳型部品の製造方法。
