Description
本発明は、概して、ねじ部品に関し、具体的には、壊れやすい材料用のねじ部品に関する。
ねじは、長年にわたって存在しており、くさび迫め動作を提供して、ねじの頭部を基板に押し入れる、斜面の原理に基づいている。異なった材料向けに異なったねじが開発されてきた。
本発明の締具によって、上述の要求が満たされ、かつ従来技術の欠点が克服される。1実施形態において、金属製締具は、ほぼ一定の直径を有する金属製軸部(shank)を備え、その軸部上にらせん状のスレディング(threading)が形成され、ここで、ねじ山の直径対軸部の直径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1であり、らせん状のねじ山は、0.5〜1.0cmの間隔があけられる。締具は、軸部上の頭部の近位および先端部の遠位に形成される第2のらせん状のスレディングを備え得、この第2のスレディングは、第1の直径よりも実質的に小さい第2の直径を有する。

Claims (9)
- 先端部と、該先端部以外においてほぼ一定の直径とを有する金属製の軸部と、
該軸部の上に形成され、第1の直径を有する第1のらせん状のねじ山であって、該軸部の直径に対する該第1の直径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1である、第1のらせん状のねじ山と、
該軸部の上に形成され、該第1の直径よりも実質的に小さい第2の直径を有する第2のらせん状のねじ山と、
該軸部全体の上に形成されているらせん状の粗い表面と
を備える、締め具。 - 前記第1のらせん状のねじ山は、0.5〜1.0cmの間隔を置いて配置されている、請求項1に記載の締め具。
- 前記軸部の一端部において頭部をさらに備え、前記先端部は、該頭部の遠位にある該軸部の第2の端部を向いている、請求項1に記載の締め具。
- 前記頭部は、プラスのスクリュードライバと係合するように構成された溝を含む、請求項3に記載の締め具。
- 前記頭部の近位にあり、かつ、前記先端部の遠位にある前記軸部の上に形成された第2のらせん状のねじ山をさらに備える、請求項3に記載の締め具。

該軸部全体にわたって延びているらせん状の粗い表面と
を備える、締め具。 - 頭部と、
内径と、先端部と、該頭部から該先端部まで延びている長さとを有する軸部と、
該軸部の上に形成され、第1の直径を有する第1のらせん状のスレディングであって、該内径に対する該第1の直径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1である、第1のらせん状のスレディングと、
該頭部の近位にあり、かつ、該先端部の遠位にある該軸部の上に形成された第2のらせん状のスレディングであって、第2のスレディングは、該第1の直径よりも実質的に小さい第2の直径を有する、第2のらせん状のスレディングと、
該軸部全体の上に形成されているらせん状の粗い表面と
を備え、
該第2のらせん状のスレディングは、該軸部の長さの半分未満にわたって延びている、締め具。 - 締め具を用いることにより、壊れやすい材料から構造を支持する方法であって、
頭部と軸部とを含むセルフタッピング締め具を提供するステップであって、該軸部は、先端部と内径と外径とを有し、該外径は、該軸部の上に形成された第1のらせん状のスレディングによって定義されており、該内径に対する該外径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1であり、第2のらせん状のスレディングが該軸部の上に形成されており、該第2のスレディングは、該外径よりも実質的に小さい第2の直径を有し、らせん状の粗い表面が該軸部全体の上に形成されている、ステップと、
該締め具と該構造とが該壊れやすい材料によって完全に支持されるように該締め具を該壊れやすい材料に押し入れるステップと
を包含する、方法。 - 前記壊れやすい材料は、シートロック、コンクリート、れんがおよびブロック材料からなるグループから選択される、請求項8に記載の方法。
