Abstract
【解決手段】 壊れやすい材料用の金属製締具は、スレディングされた軸部、この軸部の一方の端部に近い頭部、および反対側の短部にて先端部を有する。この締具は、粗いピッチ、および小さい方の直径に対する大きい方の直径の相対的に大きい比率を有し、これは、ドライウォールまたは石等の壊れやすい材料に締具を固定するために適切である。

Description
本発明は、概して、ねじ部品に関し、具体的には、壊れやすい材料用のねじ部品に関する。
ねじは、長年にわたって存在しており、くさび迫め動作を提供して、ねじの頭部を基板に押し入れる、斜面の原理に基づいている。異なった材料向けに異なったねじが開発されてきた。
本発明の締具によって、上述の要求が満たされ、かつ従来技術の欠点が克服される。1実施形態において、金属製締具は、ほぼ一定の直径を有する金属製軸部(shank)を備え、その軸部上にらせん状のスレディング(threading)が形成され、ここで、ねじ山の直径対軸部の直径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1であり、らせん状のねじ山は、0.5〜1.0cmの間隔があけられる。締具は、軸部上の頭部の近位および先端部の遠位に形成される第2のらせん状のスレディングを備え得、この第2のスレディングは、第1の直径よりも実質的に小さい第2の直径を有する。

Claims (11)
- ほぼ一定の直径を有する金属製の軸部と、
該軸部上に形成されるらせん状のスレディングであって、ねじ山の直径対該軸部の直径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1である、らせん状のスレディングと、
該軸部上に形成されるらせん状の平坦でない表面と
を備える締具。 - 前記らせん状のねじ山は、0.5〜1.0cmの間隔を置く、請求項1に記載のドライウォール締具。
- 頭部と、
小さい方の直径および先端部を有する軸部と、
該軸部上に形成され、かつ第1の直径を有する第1のらせん状のスレディングと

該頭部の近位および該先端部の遠位の該軸上に形成される第2のらせん状スレディングであって、該第2のスレディングは、該第1の直径よりも実質的に小さい第2の直径を有する、第2のらせん状のスレディングと
を備える、締具。 - 前記軸部は、前記頭部から前記終端部に伸びる軸と長さとを有し、該第2のらせん状のスレディングは、該軸部長さの半分よりも小さい範囲で伸びる、請求項3に記載の締具。
- 前記第1の直径対前記小さい方の直径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1であり、該第1のスレディングのねじ山は、0.5〜1.0cmの間隔があけられる、請求項3に記載の締具。
- 少なくとも前記軸部の一部分にわたって伸びるらせん状であり、平坦でない表面をさらに備える、請求項5に記載の締具。
- 金属製締具を形成する方法であって、
第1の終端部にて頭部を有する金属製軸部を提供する工程と、
圧延によってねじ山の連続的回旋間にらせん状の該ねじ山および平坦でない表面を形成する工程であって、該ねじ山の直径対該軸部の直径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1であり、ピッチは0.5〜1.0cmである、工程と
を包含する、方法。 - 前記形成する工程は、前記軸部上の前記頭部の近位に第2のねじ山を形成する工程をさらに包含する、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のねじ山および前記第2のねじ山は、それぞれ第1および第2の直径を有し、該第1のねじ山の直径は、該第2のねじ山の直径よりも実質的に大きい、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 締具を用いて壊れやすい材料から構造を支持する方法であって、
頭部および軸部を含むセルフタッピング金属製締具を提供する工程であって、該軸部は、小さい方の直径および大きい方の直径を有し、該大きい方の直径は、らせん状のスレディングが該軸部上に形成されることによって規定され、該大きい方の直径対該小さい方の直径の比は、少なくとも1.5:1である、工程と、
該締具および構造が該壊れやすい材料によって完全に支持されるように該締具を該壊れやすい材料に押し入れる工程であって、かつ、該壊れやすい材料は、シートロックおよび石製材料の各々である、工程と
を包含する、工程。 - 前記押し入れる工程は、前記締具をシートロック、コンクリートおよびブロック材料の各々に押し入れる工程を包含する、請求項10に記載の方法。
