Description
別の目的は、排気再循環の故に、燃焼機関の性能が、排気の再循環のない同じ燃焼機関の性能よりも劣ることのない、過給燃焼機関の排気再循環装置を提供することである。
吸気ライン内を流れる空気は、燃焼機関の近傍に位置する既存冷却媒体供給源を成す。したがって、この冷却媒体供給源を用いるEGR冷却器は、燃焼機関の直近に置くか、または、燃焼機関に装着できる。したがって、そのようなEGR冷却器を具備する帰還ラインは、排気が帰還ラインを通過する時に、僅かな圧力低下しか受けないように、短く、かつ小型にすることができる。帰還ラインの圧力低下が僅かなことは、燃料消費を低くすることを可能にし、排気が問題なく吸気ラインに導かれ、圧縮空気との混合を保証にするために必要である。圧縮器が既に吸気ラインに空気を引き込み、運び込んでいるので、EGR冷却器を経た空気流を供給するために、通常、これ以上の流れ装置を吸気ラインに設ける必要がない。したがって、帰還ライン内の排気を冷却するために、圧縮器の上流側の吸気ライン内の既存空気流を用いる斯かるEGR冷却器を、燃焼機関の近くに配置することは比較的複雑ではない。通常、吸気ライン中の空気は、圧縮前は比較的低温である。したがって、吸入空気は、EGR冷却器内の排気を事実上対応する低温度まで冷却するために有利に使用できる。
Claims (9)
- 過給燃焼機関(1)の排気再循環装置であって、該排気再循環装置が、
前記燃焼機関(1)から外部に排気を導くための排気ライン(3)と、
前記燃焼機関(1)に空気を導くための吸気ライン(7)と、
前記吸気ライン(7)内の空気を大気圧よりも高く圧縮するようになされた圧縮器(5)と、
前記排気ライン(3)を前記吸気ライン(7)に連結する帰還ライン(10)であって、前記排気ライン(3)からの排気を、前記帰還ライン(10)を通して前記吸気ライン(7)に再循環させることができる前記帰還ライン(10)とを含む前記排気再循環装置において、
前記排気再循環装置がEGR冷却器(13b)を含み、該EGR冷却器(13b)で、前記帰還ライン(10)内の再循環排気が、前記吸気ライン(7)内の空気流の方向に対して前記圧縮器(5)の上流側に位置する前記吸気ライン(7)の一部(7a)における空気によって冷却され、
前記帰還ライン(10)内の再循環排気が、前記EGR冷却器(13b)で第2段階の冷却を受ける前に、第1段階の冷却を受けるようになされた第1EGR冷却器(13a)を含むことを特徴とする排気再循環装置。 - 前記吸気ライン(7)に取り込まれる空気が周囲空気であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された排気再循環装置。
- 前記再循環排気が、冷却剤によって前記第1EGR冷却器(13a)で冷却されるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載された排気再循環装置。
- 前記燃焼機関(1)が、循環する冷却剤によって冷却され、前記帰還ライン(10)内の再循環排気が前記冷却剤によって前記第1EGR冷却器(13a)で冷却されるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載された排気再循環装置。
- 前記吸気ライン内(7)の前記圧縮空気を冷却するようになされた給気冷却器(8)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4までのいずれか一項に記載された排気再循環装置。
- 前記圧縮空気が、周囲温度の媒体によって前記給気冷却器(8)で冷却されるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載された排気再循環装置。
- 前記媒体が周囲空気であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載された排気再循環装置。
- 前記燃焼機関の冷却系用の前記給気冷却器(8)とラジエター(18)が、周囲空気が通過して流れる共通領域(A)に装着されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載された排気再循環装置。
- 前記給気冷却器(8)が、空気流の方向に対して前記共通領域(A)で前記ラジエター(18)の上流側に装着されていることを特徴とする請求項8に記載された排気再循環装置。
