Description
而して、このような塞栓形成用体内留置具には、以下に示す特性など種々の特性が要求される。
また、例えば血管塞栓術の実施後において、経時的な形状変化によって隙間が生じ、再灌流が生じること(コンパクション)を防止するために、留置操作時において適用部位の僅かな隙間に対しても容易に押し込むことができ、単位体積当たりの塞栓形成率(所定部位における塞栓形成用体内留置具の占有率)を可及的に高める、という観点からも、高い柔軟性を有するものであることが必要とされる。
しかし、伸張規制部材をコイルに溶接した場合、溶接部分において伸張規制部材が焼鈍により極端な強度低下を生じるため、伸張規制部材として必要な強さを得るためには伸張規制部材の断面積を十分に大きくする必要があり、結果として塞栓形成用体内留置具の柔軟性が損なわれるという問題があった。
第2図は、本発明の塞栓形成用体内留置具の他の例における構成の概略を示す説明用断面図である。
<実施形態>
第1図は、本発明の塞栓形成用体内留置具の一例における構成の概略を示す説明用断面図である。
この場合には、撚り線21Bを構成する金属ワイヤーの各々が、第1図に示す体内留置具10Aにおける金属ワイヤー21Aと同じ金属線材を用いた場合であれば、その直径(素線径)を、第1図に示す体内留置具10Aにおける金属ワイヤー21Aのそれより小さいものとすることができる。
以下、本発明の体内留置具による作用効果を確認するために行った実験例について説明する。
製造例1において、コイル、金属ループ、軸方向伸張規制部材を形成する材料の白金−タングステン合金を白金−イリジウム合金に変え、軸方向伸張規制部材を素線径7μm、全長60mmの白金−イリジウム合金線材3本を緩く撚り合わせてなる撚り線により構成し、軸方向伸張規制部材を金属ループに挿通した後さらに捻った撚線にしたのち、軸方向伸張規制部材の両端を保持部材13と共にコイルの近位端部に縮径されるようにかしめたことの他は製造例1と同様にして、第2図に示されているような構成の体内留置具を製造した。これを「留置具2」とする。
軸方向伸張規制部材を、通常の状態における金属コイルのコイル長と同じ全長(30mm)で、素線径12μmの白金−タングステン合金により構成し、軸方向伸張規制部材の一端をコイルの遠位側端部に直接溶接し、片端を保持部材と金属コイルの内表面の間に導入し、間隙を接着剤で充填することにより金属コイルと固定した。他は製造例1と同様にして、体内留置具を製造した。これを「比較用留置具1」とする。
軸方向伸張規制部材を、通常の状態における金属コイルのコイル長と同じ全長(30mm)で、素線径30μmの白金−タングステン合金により構成し、軸方向伸張規制部材の一端をコイルの遠位側端部に直接溶接し、片端を保持部材と金属コイルの内表面の間に導入し、間隙を接着剤で充填することにより金属コイルと固定した。他は製造例1と同様にして、体内留置具を製造した。これを「比較用留置具2」とする。
金属ループや軸方向伸張規制部材を配置せず、コイルのみを保持部材に取り付け、他は製造例1と同様にして体内留置具を製造した。これを「比較留置具3」とする。
Claims (8)
- 金属からなるコイルを備え、このコイルの遠位側端部に略半球状の丸みを帯びた頭部を有し、該頭部から、当該頭部に直接溶接されて、コイルの近位側端に向かう閉じたループが当該コイルの内部に突出して配設されてなり、当該コイルの内部において少なくとも1本の、当該ループを形成する金属線材よりも細い線材からなる軸方向伸張規制部材が当該コイルのコイル軸方向に伸び、当該ループを挿通した後、前記軸方向伸張規制部材を構成する線材の両端が近位側端部に直接または間接的に固定されることにより配設されることを特徴とする塞栓形成用体内留置具。
- 軸方向伸張規制部材とループがコイルと同じ金属材料からなる請求の範囲第1項に記載の塞栓形成用体内留置具。
- コイルが白金または白金合金からなる請求の範囲第1項または第2項に記載の塞栓形成用体内留置具。
- 軸方向伸張規制部材が、直径20μm以下の線材で構成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1〜3項のいずれかに記載の塞栓形成用体内留置具。
- 軸方向伸張規制部材が、複数の金属線材が撚り合わされてなる撚り線により構成されている請求の範囲第1〜4項のいずれかに記載の塞栓形成用体内留置具。
- 軸方向伸張規制部材が、ループに挿通せしめた後に更に捻り撚った構造である請求の範囲第1〜5項のいずれかに記載の塞栓形成用体内留置具。
- コイルがさらに二次的な形状に成形されてなる請求の範囲第1〜6項のいずれかに記載の塞栓形成用体内留置具。
- 前記ループを前記コイルの遠位側端部に溶接する際に金属の表面張力により前記頭部が形成される請求の範囲第1〜7項のいずれかに記載の塞栓形成用体内留置具。
