Description
本願は、米国特許法第119条(e)の規定に基づき、ジョエル C.ミッチェル(Joel C. Mitchell)らによる2003年2月28日出願の米国仮出願第60/450,635号(発明の名称:元素アナライザ)の優先権を主張するものであり、該仮出願の開示内容全てを本明細書の一部を構成するものとしてここに援用する。
Claims (7)
- 燃焼用サンプルを受け取るための燃焼炉と、
燃焼の完了を確認するための、前記燃焼炉から排出された燃焼副生成物の流路に連結された燃焼検出器と
燃焼が完了するまで燃焼副生成物を受け取るための、燃焼副生成物の流路に連結された可変容量型バラストチャンバであって、燃焼の完了が検出されるまで、導入された燃焼副生成物に呼応して前記バラストチャンバ内のある位置まで移動する可動ピストンと前記ピストンの位置を検出するためのセンサとを有する可変容量型バラストチャンバと、
前記ピストンの位置を検出するための前記センサに連結されており、前記ピストンの位置に基づいて燃焼副生成物のガス濃度のための体積補正係数を計算する制御装置とを有するアナライザ。 - 前記可変容量型バラストチャンバは円筒状容器を有し、前記センサは、前記ピストンにケーブルによって連結されているロータリー・エンコーダである、請求項1に記載のアナライザ。
- 前記円筒状容器は、その一端に設置されたサンプルガス注入口及びサンプルガス排出口と、前記注入口に連結された第一の制御バルブと、前記排出口に連結された第二の制御バルブとを有し、前記可変容量型バラストチャンバへのサンプルガスの入出を制御するようになっている、請求項2に記載のアナライザ。
- 前記円筒状容器は、前記一端の反対側の端において前記ガス注入口と反対側の前記ピストンの一側面上に設置された流体注入口と、加圧流体の供給源に連結された流体制御バルブとを有し、前記ピストンを選択的に移動させて、サンプルガスを前記可変容量型バラストチャンバから前記サンプルガス排出口を経由して排出させるようになっている、請求項3に記載のアナライザ。
- 前記第一の制御バルブ、第二の制御バルブ及び流体制御バルブはそれぞれ、前記各バルブを順次作動させてサンプルガスを前記可変容量型バラストチャンバ内に導入する前記制御装置に連結されており、これによって、前記サンプルガスが前記可変容量型バラストチャンバ内で平衡となった後、前記可変容量型バラストチャンバからサンプルガスが排出される、請求項4に記載のアナライザ。
- 前記可変容量型バラストチャンバの前記ガス排出口にH 2 Oセンサが連結されており、分析時にH 2 の濃度を検出する、請求項5に記載のアナライザ。
- 前記可変容量型バラストチャンバの前記ガス排出口にCO 2 センサが連結されており、分析時にCの濃度を検出する、請求項5に記載のアナライザ。
