Description
マイクロチューブを介して治療剤をデリバリーする医療用インプラント及びその製造方法が提供される。1の実施態様において、患者の体内に合うように適合させられた生物学的に移植可能な構造が提供される。この構造は、その外部表面と物理的に連絡している複数のマイクロチューブを有し、該マイクロチューブは治療剤を含むか又は保持している。
図1は、本発明の多様な実施態様において使用することができるいくつかの異なるマイクロチューブの拡大断面図を提供するものである。図1において見られるとおり、マイクロチューブは、直径数十ミクロンであってヒトの毛よりも細いサイズであることができ、U-、Y-、星型、及び卵型の横断面を含む多様な横断面構成で構築することができる。マイクロチューブは中空の閉じた管、1以上の開放末端を有するスリーブ、そして中実の構造であることができる。図1のマイクロチューブは、少なくとも1の開放末端を有し、中空であるとして描かれている。マイクロチューブは金属、セラミックス、及び硬質カーボンを含む、多数の材料で作ることができる。本発明に従ってマイクロチューブを採用する1の利点は、それらの使用に関係する表面を増加させられることである。
Claims (9)
- 医療用インプラントの製造方法であって、以下のステップ:
複数のマイクロチューブを供給すること;
マイクロチューブの柔軟な層を生物学的に移植可能な医療用の構造上に設置すること;そして、
上記マイクロチューブを覆うために上記柔軟な層に治療剤を適用すること、
を含むことに特徴を有する、前記方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、上記マイクロチューブの柔軟な層を生物学的に移植可能な医療用の構造上に設置することが、さらに以下のステップ:
上記柔軟な層を形成するために、上記マイクロチューブを一緒に絡み合わせること;そして、
上記柔軟な層を、上記生物学的に移植可能な医療用の構造の表面上に適用すること、を含むことに特徴を有する、前記方法。 - 請求項2に記載の方法であって、上記柔軟な層を生物学的に移植可能な医療用の構造の表面上に適用する上記方法が、拡散による結合、金属細工、焼結、ろう付け、めっき、電解による結合又は溶接から成る群の1以上であることに特徴を有する、前記方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法であって、上記柔軟な層に治療剤を適用することがさらに以下のステップ:
治療剤を、上記柔軟な層を形成している上記マイクロチューブ中又はその間へ引き込むために、真空力を作動させること、
を含むことに特徴を有する、前記方法。 - 請求項2に記載の方法であって、治療剤を上記柔軟な層に適用することが、さらに以下のステップ:
上記マイクロチューブの柔軟な層を治療剤中に浸漬すること、
を含むことに特徴を有する、前記方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、上記生物学的に移植可能な医療用の構造が、最初の構成から第二の構成へ膨張可能であることに特徴を有する、前記方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、上記生物学的に移植可能な医療用の構造が、以下の:PICC、塞栓剤、動脈瘤コイル、ステント移植片、a-vシャント、大静脈フィルター及び血管カテーテルを含む群から選ばれることに特徴を有する、前記方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法であって、ポリマーが、上記マイクロチューブを絡み合わせて柔軟な層を形成するために使用されることに特徴を有する、前記方法。
- 請求項8に記載の方法であって、上記柔軟な層の外部表面が上記治療剤を適用する前に研磨されることに特徴を有する、前記方法。
