【従来の技術】
屋外用電線が永年架渉されていると、熱や端末から硫酸ミストを含む雨水が浸入して前記電線が応力腐食断線を起こすことは広く知られており、その対策として図1に示すように導体1と絶縁体2との間、特に撚り導体の場合は素線間の隙間を含めてEVA(エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体)、あるいはPVC−VA(塩化ビニル・酢酸ビニル共重合体)を主体とするコンパウンド3を充填している。

上記のように応力腐食断線対策を施した水密屋外用ビニル絶縁電線(以下、水密OWという)でも永年架渉されていると、風雪、紫外線、熱、硫酸ミストなど種々の環境による攻撃を受け絶縁劣化を起こすので一定期間経過すると取り替え回収される。

このように回収された水密OWの導体は、100%近く素材としてリサイクルされるが、回収絶縁被覆材の方は、上記水密充填したコンパウンドとの分離が困難で、回収絶縁被覆材には上記水密充填コンパウンドが8%程度混在している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このように水密充填コンパウンドが混在している回収絶縁被覆材をそのまま押出し成形すると、押出し成形品の表面が平滑にならない。

そこで本発明者等は、予め一定割合でステアリン酸鉛を添加した塩化ビニル樹脂組成物を調製し、この塩化ビニル樹脂組成物でもって水密OWを試作し、試作した水密OWの絶縁被覆を剥ぎ取って裁断し、これを20mmの小型押出機(L/D=20,スクリュー30rpm,シリンダー185℃)で幅10mm×厚さ1mmの帯を成形したところ外観と物理的特性とも良好なものを得ることができた。

この発明は、上記知見に基づくもので、水密OWの回収絶縁被覆材をそのまま押出成形しリサイクルした場合でも外観および物理的特性の良い塩化ビニル樹脂組成物とその成形品を提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するためにこの発明は、塩化ビニル樹脂組成物に、ステアリン酸鉛、ステアリン酸亜鉛、ステアリン酸バリウム、ステアリン酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸マグネシウム、二塩基性ステアリン酸鉛などの金属石鹸の群から少なくとも一つを、0.3乃至3重量%、好ましくは0.4乃至2重量%添加し加熱混練してなる。

上記の如く構成するこの発明によれば、塩化ビニル樹脂組成物に上記特定の添加剤を特定量添加することにより水密OWの回収絶縁被覆材をそのまま押出成形した場合でも外観、物理的特性とも遜色のない塩化ビニル樹脂組成物が得られる。

【発明の実施の形態】
次にこの発明の実施形態を説明する。塩化ビニル樹脂組成物だけのものと、ステアリン酸鉛の添加量を0.2%から3.5%まで段階的に増量した塩化ビニル樹脂組成物を作製し、更に、上記各塩化ビニル樹脂組成物にEVAを主体とする水密充填コンパウンドを8%添加したものと、添加しないものを準備して、各塩化ビニル樹脂組成物を20mm小型押出成形機(L/D=20,スクリュー30rpm,シリンダー185℃)にて幅10mm×厚さ1mmの帯を成形して外観を観察し、サンプルを採取して引っ張り強さおよび伸び試験を行った結果を表1に示す。

なお、外観は表面が滑らかなものは○、表面に凹凸があるものは×、引っ張り強さ10MPa 、伸び100%の目標値をクリヤーしたものは○、できなかったものは×とした。表1の結果から、ステアリン酸鉛を適切な範囲で添加することにより外観を滑らかにする効果があることが分る。

なお、表1はステアリン酸鉛を添加したサンプルによる試験結果を示しているが、ステアリン酸亜鉛、ステアリン酸バリウム、ステアリン酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸マグネシウム、二塩基性ステアリン酸鉛、金属石鹸についても同様の効果を得ることができる。

また、上記の如く得られた再生塩化ビニル樹脂組成物を電気導体に被覆することにより実用上遜色のない絶縁電線が得られる。
