図1には、本発明を利用するための排ガスの後処理システムを備えた内燃エンジンがブロック図として示されている。
図2は、図1に示された排ガスの後処理システムでの温度の変動を描いている第一のグラフを示す。
図3は、該排ガスの後処理システムでの温度の変動を描いている第二のグラフを示す。
Claims (6)
- 車輌の内燃エンジン(10)の排ガスの後処理装置(12)の存在を一つの温度の信号源(16)を使用して診断する方法であって、該後処理装置が蓄熱体を有し、該後処理装置(12)の下流側の排ガスの温度をある時間の間連続的に測定して、変動する振幅を持っている第一の温度の信号を出し、該温度の信号を変調して、第二の変調された温度の信号を出し、該第一の温度の信号と該第二の温度の信号を比較して、当該信号の何らかの有意の差異を検出することを特徴とする方法。
- 該後処理装置(12)が触媒反応器であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該後処理装置(12)が該エンジン(10)の下流側に第一の後処理装置(12)として配置されているものであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 該変調が温度の信号をフィルター処理することによることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- フィルター処理されていない第一の信号とフィルター処理されている第二の信号の両方を積算し、該二つの積算された値の間の違いを計算する工程を有していることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 触媒触媒反応器(12)が車輌の排ガスの後処理システムに存在するか否かの車載型診断のための請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の方法の使用。
