Claims (4)
- 共通のクランクシャフトに連結された複数の気筒を備え、かつ、各気筒には通電時に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射手段が配設される内燃機関の制御装置であって、
前記燃料噴射手段からの燃料噴射期間を示す制御信号を発生するように構成された制御回路と、
前記制御回路からの前記制御信号に応答して、前記燃料噴射手段に給電するように構成された駆動制御回路と、
前記燃料噴射期間が時間的に重ならない複数個の前記燃料噴射手段と共通に電気的に接続され、接続された各前記燃料噴射手段について、前記駆動制御回路による給電時に該燃料噴射手段の断線故障を検出するように構成された故障検出回路と、
前記クランクシャフトの回転角度を検出するクランク角度検出器とを備え、
前記制御回路は、前記故障検出回路による検出結果と前記クランク角度検出器によって検出された前記回転角度とに基づいて、前記断線故障が発生した燃料噴射手段を特定する手段を有し、
前記燃料噴射手段は、筒内に燃料を噴射するための第1の燃料噴射機構および吸気通路内に燃料を噴射するための第2の燃料噴射機構を含み、
前記制御回路は、さらに、運転状態に応じて全燃料噴射量に対する前記第1の燃料噴射機構および前記第2の燃料噴射機構の間での燃料噴射量の分担比率を制御するとともに、前記全燃料噴射量および前記分担比率に従って各前記気筒での前記第1の燃料噴射機構および前記第2の燃料噴射機構の燃料噴射期間をそれぞれ示す複数個の前記制御信号を発生するように構成され、
前記駆動制御回路は、さらに、前記制御回路からの前記複数個の制御信号に応答して、各前記気筒の前記第1の燃料噴射機構および前記第2の燃料噴射機構にそれぞれ給電するように構成され、
前記故障検出回路は、
第1の数の前記第1の燃料噴射機構と電気的に接続され、接続された前記第1の燃料噴射機構に対する前記駆動制御回路による給電時に該第1の燃料噴射機構の断線故障を検出するように構成された第1の故障検出ユニットと、
第2の数の前記第2の燃料噴射機構と電気的に接続され、接続された前記第2の燃料噴射機構に対する前記駆動制御回路による給電時に該第2の燃料噴射機構の断線故障を検出するように構成された第2の故障検出ユニットとを含み、
前記第2の数は2以上の整数であり、
前記制御回路は、前記第1および前記第2の故障検出ユニットによる検出結果と前記クランク角度検出器によって検出された前記回転角度とに基づいて、前記断線故障が発生した第1および第2の燃料噴射機構を特定する手段をさらに有する、内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記第1の故障検出ユニットは、同一行程間の位相差が前記回転角度で360度となる2個の気筒ごとに配置されて、前記2個の気筒にそれぞれ配設された前記第1の燃料噴射機構に対して共通に電気的に接続される、請求項1記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記第2の故障検出ユニットは、各前記気筒に配設された前記第2の燃料噴射機構と共通に電気的に接続されるように配置される、請求項1記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記第2の数は、前記第1の数よりも大きい、請求項1記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
