Description
図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態における立体画像表示システムの全体構成を示す図である。本実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムは、計算機ホログラムを用いて立体画像を表示する立体画像表示システムである。図1に示すように、本実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムは、干渉縞計算装置1と、立体画像表示装置2と、参照光照射装置3とによって構成されている。
図6を参照して、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムの動作について説明する。
本発明の第1の実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムによれば、ホログラム記録素子に対する干渉縞の記録を電気的に制御することができるため、広い視域を可能とする立体画像表示を実現しつつ、立体画像表示システムの小型化を実現することができる。
図10(a)及び(b)を参照して、本発明の第2の実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムについて説明する。以下、本実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムについて、上述の第1の実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムとの相違点を主として説明する。
図11乃至13を参照して、本発明の第3の実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムについて説明する。以下、本実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムについて、上述の第1の実施形態に係る立体画像表示システムとの相違点を主として説明する。

Claims (4)
- 計算された干渉縞(計算機ホログラム)を用いて立体画像を表示する立体画像表示装置であって、
表面に前記干渉縞の各画素に対応する画素電極が設けられており、電界強度に応じて屈折率が変化する電気光学効果を有する光変調素子と、
前記計算された干渉縞に応じて、隣接画素間における電界強度の相互作用を考慮して前記画素電極の各々に印加する電圧を制御することによって前記光変調素子に前記干渉縞を記録する電界制御部とを具備することを特徴とする立体画像表示装置。 - 前記電界制御部は、前記干渉縞の濃淡値と電圧値とを関連付けて記憶しており、各画素の前記干渉縞の濃淡値に関連付けられている電圧値の電圧を、各画素に対応する画素電極に印加することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の立体画像表示装置。
- 前記電界制御部は、特定の画素電極にのみ電圧を印加するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の立体画像表示装置。
- 前記電界制御部は、特定の画素電極に印加する電圧が所定電圧以上である場合、該特定の画素電極に隣接する画素電極に対して電圧を印加しないように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の立体画像表示装置。
