Description
(a)原料中の炭素原子数が60以上の化合物と炭素原子数30以上の化合物との重量比が少なくとも0.2で、かつ原料中の化合物の30重量%以上は、炭素原子数30以上の化合物であるフィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導原料を水素化分解/水素化異性化する工程、
(b)工程(a)の生成物を、複数の低沸点フラクションの中の1つ以上の蒸留物フラクションと広範囲の基油前駆体フラクションとに分離する工程、
(c)工程(b)で得られた広範囲の基油前駆体フラクションに対し流動点低下工程を行う工程、
(d)工程(c)の生成物を蒸留することにより、重質塔底蒸留物フラクションを単離する工程、及び
(e)前記塔底蒸留物フラクションを不均質吸着剤と接触させる工程、
により薬用又は工業用ホワイトオイルを製造する方法。
この薬用ホワイトオイルは、可塑剤又は離型用プロセスオイルとしても使用できる。このような離型剤は、食品包装用にも使用できるという利点がある。
本発明を以下の非限定的実施例により説明する。
前記フィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導原料について説明したように、工程(a)〜(d)を行うことにより得られた、第1表に示す特性を有する塔底蒸留物フラクション(原料1)を用いて、薬用ホワイトオイルを製造した。工程(a)で使用したフィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導原料は、WO−A−9934917の実施例IIIの触媒を用いて、実施例VIIで得られたフィッシャー・トロプシュ生成物のC5〜C750℃+フラクションである。この原料は、C30+生成物を約60重量%含有する。C60+/C30+の比は、約0.55である。
UV吸着値及びセイボルト色度を第2表に示す。第2表の結果から、薬用ホワイトオイルは、フィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導塔底蒸留物フラクションから得られることが判る。本実施例の前記蒸留塔底生成物は、工業用ホワイトオイル規格に殆ど適合していた。したがって、本実施例は、フィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導工業用ホワイトオイルが、このように簡単な吸着法により薬用ホワイトオイルに転化できることも示している。

Claims (4)
- フィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導パラフィン系蒸留物塔底生成物を不均質吸着剤と接触させる、該塔底生成物からの薬用又は工業用ホワイトオイルの製造方法であって、該塔底生成物は、
(a)原料中の炭素原子数が60以上の化合物と炭素原子数30以上の化合物との重量比が少なくとも0.2で、かつ原料中の化合物の30重量%以上は、炭素原子数30以上の化合物であるフィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導原料を水素化分解/水素化異性化する工程、
(b)工程(a)の生成物を、複数の低沸点フラクションの中の1つ以上の蒸留物フラクションと、基油前駆体フラクションと、基油前駆体フラクションのT90 重量%沸点範囲が350〜550℃であるような重質フラクションとに分離する工程、
(c)工程(b)で得られた基油前駆体フラクションに対し流動点低下工程を行う工程、及び
(d)工程(c)の生成物を蒸留することにより、重質塔底蒸留物フラクションを単離する工程、
により得られる該方法。 - 前記吸着剤が、活性炭である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 100℃での動粘度が8.5cStを超えるフィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導薬用ホワイトオイルが得られる請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記フィッシャー・トロプシュ誘導薬用ホワイトオイルは、非環式イソパラフィンの含有量が80〜98重量%であり、セイボルト色度が+30より大で、またASTM D2269で測定した、FDA 178 3620(’c)による280〜289nmスペクトルバンドでの紫外線吸着スペクトル値が0.70未満、290〜299nmスペクトルバンドでは0.60未満、300〜329nmスペクトルバンドでは0.40未満、330〜380nmスペクトルバンドでは0.09未満である請求項3に記載の方法。
