Description
硬実で不透水性を示す硬い種被を有し、発芽不良が生じ易いカンナ種子に対して、レーザー光照射による発芽改善処理を行った。この際、種子はタキイ種苗(株)の「トロピカルローズ」品種を用いた。種被へのレーザー光の照射は、種被表面にレーザー光を合焦させ、スキャンスピードを300mm/s、レーザーパワー45%に設定して、一粒一粒の種被にレーザー光を照射し、直径約0.8mmの円形の穿孔を1箇所ずつ(実施例1)および、3箇所ずつ(実施例2)施した発芽改善種子を得た。
硬実で不透水性を示す硬い種被を有し、発芽不良が生じ易いカンナ種子に対して、レーザー光を照射し、一粒一粒に対する穿孔数、穿孔径の設定を変え、表2に示す穿孔条件で、種被をほぼ貫通する程度の穿孔を施し発芽改善種子を得た。この際、種子はタキイ種苗(株)の「トロピカルイエロー」品種を用いた。種被へのレーザー光の照射は、スキャンスピード500mm/s、レーザーパワー50%に固定して行った。
硬実で不透水性を示す硬い種被を有し、発芽不良が生じ易いアサガオ種子およびエンサイ種子に対して、本発明によるレーザー光照射による発芽改善処理を行った。この際、アサガオ種子はタキイ種苗(株)の「紅ちどり」品種、エンサイはタキイ種苗(株)の「エンサイ」品種を用いた。
ー60%とし、その他の条件は実施例1と同様にして、一粒一粒の種被に2箇所ずつのスポット照射を行い、直径約1mmの穿孔を2個施した発芽改善種子を得た。(実施例14)。
不透水性の硬い種被を有し、発芽不良が生じ易い3倍体スイカ種子に対して、本発明によるレーザー光照射による発芽改善処理を行った。この際、種子はタキイ種苗(株)の3倍体スイカ「T−173」品種を用いた。
硬実で不透水性を示す硬い種被を有し、発芽不良が生じ易いヘチマ種子に対して、本発明によるレーザー光照射による発芽改善処理を行った。この際、種子はタキイ種苗(株)の「太ヘちま」品種を用いた。種被へのレーザー光の照射は、スキャンスピードを1200mm/s、レーザーパワー30%に設定して、一粒一粒の種被にレーザー光を照射し、直径約0.5mmの穿孔を2箇所ずつ施した発芽改善種子(実施例18)を得た。
Claims (5)
- 硬実種子に対して種子胚をとりまく構造物である種被の一部にレーザー光を照射して、該種被に1箇所以上の穿孔を施すことを特徴とする硬実種子の発芽改善方法。
- 請求項1記載の発芽改善方法において、1箇所の穿孔面積が種被表面積全体の0.2%〜18%の範囲で、1箇所以上の穿孔を施すことを特徴とする硬実種子の発芽改善方法。
- 請求項1又は2記載の発芽改善方法において、穿孔箇所の総面積が種被表面積全体の0.2%〜20%の範囲で、前記穿孔を施すことを特徴とする硬実種子の発芽改善方法。
- 前記レーザー光の照射後の種子に、プライミング処理、催芽処理、被覆造粒、フィルムコーティング、シードテープ加工、及び播種シート加工のうち少なくとも1つを施すことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の硬実種子の発芽改善方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかの方法により得られた発芽改善種子。
