Description
固定床は一般に、押出物、ペレットまたは顆粒のような粒状物質の形状の触媒または収着剤の少なくとも一層を含み、この層はプロセス流体不透過性境界部材と境を接し、そして固定床を通過するプロセス流体が通過できる有孔部材、例えば有孔プレート、格子または網の上に配置される。固定床は容器内に配置され、この容器内で、固定床は、例えば突起手段(lug)によって容器壁に直接に支持されるか、または容器壁に取り付けられたガスケットまたは枠体のようなプロセス流体不透過性床の支持手段によって支持される。
境界部材は、触媒または収着剤のプロセスの条件の下で使用するのに適する材料から作製できる。典型的には、境界部材は耐酸化性合金、例えば310ステンレス鋼から作製される。
このように貯留層を形成することにより、固定床の周辺部の深さ、ひいてはその透過性は、例えば、一連の熱膨張−熱収縮サイクルを通して制御できるであろう。第一および第二の境界部材の間の床の厚さが増大すると、この領域の透過性が減少し、粒子の収縮が生じる場合、床の容積は貯留層からの触媒または収着剤の粒子によって維持されるであろう。
図1、2および3において、矢印“A”で示される、固定床を通るプロセス流体の流れの方向は実質的に垂直である。明確にするために、図1、2および3はそれぞれ、固定床の堆積を通る流体流の方向(A)と、境界部材の下端(C)および固定床の表面(B)の間に引かれた直線との間の全体角シータ(θ)を示す線図を伴う。
Claims (8)
- 容器の直径よりも小さい深さを有しかつ5〜500mmの深さを有する固定床であって、前記固定床は有孔部材上に配置され、そしてプロセス流体不透過性境界部材と接する粒状物質を含み、前記境界部材は前記有孔部材に固定されず、そして前記境界部材の少なくとも一部が、少なくとも実質的に前記固定床の深さにわたって、前記固定床を通る流体の流れの方向に対して20〜70度の全体角度で前記粒状物質と境を接していて、前記全体角度は、前記固定床の堆積を通る流体の流れの方向と、前記境界部材の下端および前記境界部材が前記固定床の上面に接する点の間に引かれた直線との間の角度であることを特徴とする、固定床。
- 前記境界部材は1〜50個の湾曲したおよび/または直線状の面を含む、請求項1記載の固定床。
- 前記固定床の表面下に少なくとも1つの段差を与える面の組み合わせが設けられる、請求項2記載の固定床。
- 実質的に前記有孔部材から前記固定床の表面よりも上方の位置まで延びる第一の外側境界部材および前記第一の外側境界部材と第二の内側境界部材との間に設けられた粒状物質の貯留層を有し、前記第二の内側境界部材は前記固定床の表面よりも下方の前記有孔部材から離間した位置から前記固定床の表面よりも上方の位置まで延びる、請求項1〜3いずれかに記載の固定床。
- 前記粒状物質は触媒または収着剤を含む、請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の固定床。
- 前記固定床は100℃を超える温度に曝される、請求項1〜5いずれかに記載の固定床の使用方法。
- 硫黄、水銀、ヒ素、水および/または塩化水素を含有する物質をプロセス流体から除去するための、請求項1〜6いずれかに記載の固定床を有する容器の使用方法。
- アンモニア酸化、水素脱硫、シアン化水素製造、ホルムアルデヒド製造、または炭化水素の部分酸化のための処理に用いる、請求項1〜6いずれかに記載の固定床を有する容器の使用方法。
